About this audiobook

The Navy SEAL and his best friend's little sister...
First book in a military romance series from bestselling author Zoe York

Drew Castle is a Navy SEAL with a bad case of indifference. Until Annie Martin shows up on his doorstep, scared out of her mind, and all of a sudden, keeping her safe becomes the most important mission of his life.

And this time, he’s on his own.

FROM THE AUTHOR: "I named this series SEALs Undone because that’s exactly what happens. Big, tough Navy SEALs are undone by the women they fall hard for. These stories are light on conflict, full of sexy heat, and short enough to read in a single night."

Editor's Note

Existing…

The heroes of Zoe York’s “SEALs Undone” series are men who are in varying stages of undoneness: some are just drifting, with the only anchor their commitment to being a SEAL. In “Fall Out,” the hero has more serious issues: his best friend was killed during a deployment, and while he’s not desperate, he’s struggling to find value in his life. For the moment, he’s existing — eating omelets, playing video games, doing his job. Until his best friend’s little sister shows up at his door with a voicemail message from her dead brother. Only it’s a fake, and the two of them have to figure out what the hell is happening, as well as process their grief.

From a school girl crush on her brother's best friend, to running to him for help 10 years later, to them falling in love during their odd adventure.

The characters in this book are undesirable and are not aligned with whom they are set out to be.

Annie is a sister to someone who was in the military should know or understand protocol, especially if she is as close as she's written to have been with her brother. Acting like a blundering fool, asking stupid questions she knows can't be answered and carrying on like she can manage on her own after she was the one who went running to his front door because she was afraid.

Again, the author made some errors in many parts of this book, making it difficult to enjoy the story.

It's hard to pull much depth out of short novellas. It was fine until the swift jump into engagement

Drew and Annie gets thrown into an adventure in a short amount of time. Everything happens from the get-go and to say the story is so short the content is good and steamy.

Drew and Annie have previous history through Annie's brother who passed away in who was also Drew's best friend. Annie finds herself in a bit of a predicament and the first person she can think to ask for help is Drew who she hasn't seen for years. Annie is the last person Drew expects to see on his doorstep when he opens the door for his usual extracurricular activities. The next thing you know they're on the run and the adventure begins.

I really enjoyed these two together but it definitely was a rush at the end with their relationship moving from dating to married. It was cute but that's never been my thing. Highly recommend it for a quick and easy military read.

    Great narration.

Nice flow, characters you care about, and a decent plot. Perfect entertainment for an evening's read or listen. I plan to listen to more by this author.

And thus begins my binge! After reading the SEAL Christmas story, I decided to loop back and read the SEAL books from the start. First up is Fall Out and we have the younger sister of a fallen comrade. These two didn’t have sparks back when, and don’t when the story starts, but as they spend more time together, voila! Great attraction, wonderful banter, and no time wasted once they finally give in <3

Not a bad quick listen. The narrator does pretty well. I prefer the genders voicing themselves. It was ok otherwise.
