About this audiobook

Are you in a relationship or dynamic that can best be described as an emotional rollercoaster, toxic, draining, crazy-making, or confusing?

Have you ever wondered why they seem to never change, no matter how much you are willing to do for them, or how much love, understanding, rehab, religion, therapy, second (or twenty-second) chances you've given them?

Do you feel as though if you tried harder you could eventually earn their love, respect, loyalty, honesty, or the right to be treated with dignity and respect?

If so, you are not alone, and this book is a great place to start.

This book covers:

- The most common terms and definitions surrounding narcissistic abuse (including examples), such as "flying monkeys," "hoovering," "love bombing," "trauma bonding," "C-PTSD," "reactive abuse," and much more.

- The cycle of narcissistic abuse, and what it really looks like in motion.

- Frequently asked questions about narcissistic abuse, such as:

What is the difference between a selfish jerk and a narcissist?

How do I know for sure if they are a narcissist?

Can a narcissist change?

Why do I miss them?

How can I stop attracting narcissists?

How do I handle all this intense anger I have towards them?

- A section on strategies to help you to move forward into healing.

And much, much more.

***** Trigger Alert somewhat specific referencing details of trauma

I am not a rambling angry poster, I urge those with PTSD to check out my response

Reading your description critically,I think I sensed common statistic bending which perpetuates the bias TOWARS folks with C PTSD. Statistics do not reveal a high correlation between individuals with PTSD’’ and NPD. There remains a correlation with C PTSD and BPD, which is increasingly tratable.
I Hav neither NPD or BPD but am a therapist who deals with CPTSD Please don’t presume a correlation where they may be be a small incidental correlation.

Also where is our book. ONE book to help the thousands of people who faced years of torture, rape and months of life threatening kidnapping
, where is our book helping us.

I would write one but I feel too full of myself writing this, have I spoken out too much again, done something wrong. I’m sorry to sound mean. This represents many of the folks I meet with PTSD. I’m pretty sure I’m not a narcissist. Buy people way, statistically, folks with PTSD have correlation with choosing friends and parters with varying degree of narcissistic personality traits, look this up in evidence based research. I’m writing this mostly for survivors who may believe they are narcissistic, chances are very high you are not but may drawn to narcissism in others.s
In case that is where your book is going, And I mis read,
I’ll rate you 5. Nothing worse than a rambling statement about a book’’s premise before reading ; I’m very interesting in this book, it’s all about me (sense of humor included insecurity)

I wish this was a high school class. I wish every teenager read this so that they didn’t get themselves into long-term abusive relationships. Or they could identify abusive behaviors in themselves and work to change them. This book was honestly pretty amazing.

Conflating C-PTSD with NPD is unfair and baseless. Some of the other NPD stuff was good. But like the many other psedo-psych self help books it lacks nuance despite its length.

Painful to relive memories, but very validating and educational. The numerous examples really helped me to understand and identify abuse. Would highly recommend this book to anyone who suspects they have been abused and want to start healing.
