Grew up in Louisiana, then moved to Seattle and changed her life. Met a personal trainer and lost 130 lbs
Went back to school & then became a trainer
Realized that there is more than food & exercise

4:00- When you were transitioning from personal training to your own business- what was your vision?

Wanted to build a tribe of strong women!

6:50- What were some of the biggest challenges you faced during your journey?

Big move from Louisiana to Seattle
She was giving so much of herself and needed to not put herself last
Finally had time to focus on herself- self care

I hate my thigh—> I would like to not hate my thighs—> I am grateful for what my thighs can do for me —> I love my thighs

Looking at your own worthiness
Society keeps women small- wellness industry, beauty industry, glass ceilings in work
WE can work on what is happening inside us- looking at what is actually triggering me
Looking at the social norms - Stepping into your power
19:50- What is the best verbiage to compliment someone who is losing weight / creating a big lifestyle change?

The toxicity of just using weight as a compliment
For personal trainers or coaches- focusing on how strong they have became
“you are glowing”
“you are vibrant, are you feeling good?”
“you look really happy, are you feeling happy?”
Sometimes just do not say anything at all


24:00 - Perception of health and wellness has one definition in mainstream culture, How do you help people realize that everyone has different definitions of health?

Getting deeper into the why-
The physical/ performance goals have nothing to do with the reason they want to change
Want to feel loved, worthy, have freedom

Her own journey and finding what she was most passionate about

Self awareness - looking at your thoughts - unpacking belief systems

Removing scarcity of food- let yourself eat whatever you want to
