Episode 75 is a little different from my normal routine. In this one, I ask coach Ryan Padilla of Metpro, who happens to be my nutrition coach, to come on and discuss how Metpro uses their vast experience in metabolic profiling to build custom nutrition plans for their clients to help achieve different goals. My goal was to lose excess weight to lower my impact running and improve performance. They help others that aren't looking to lose weight, just increase muscle, strength, and improve performance. They can do all 3. Ryan talks about how that works and gives many tips on pre-race fueling, in race fueling, and fueling for training. I have lost over 20 pounds with Ryan's help, but more than that, I have learned a lifestyle of eating smarter and looking at food as another tool to help me get closer to my goals.
