In today's episode on Root Awakening: A Health Podcast, we are talking with Bryan Torres. Bryan has been a personal trainer for over 10 years, is an Operation Iraqi Freedom Veteran, a professional wilderness guide, and is the founder of Nomad Outdoor Guides LLC. Nomad Outdoor Guides curate guided wilderness excursions throughout the United States to allow individuals to get hands-on wilderness survival experience. During these adventures, he teaches his groups about primitive camping, survival skills, preparedness and through these teachings participants are able to gain mental stability. In this episode, Bryan gives us tips and advice and tells us about his knowledge on wilderness skills and survival. He shares with us the most important wilderness skills to have, he tells us what the biggest purpose of his excursion groups are, and even tells us what to do in the event you end up face to face with a bear in the wilderness. Towards the end of the episode Bryan tells us how cultivating wilderness skills can positively transform mental health.
