Description

Today Coach Corey and I discuss the topic on how workouts translate to everyday life. Being in CrossFit a majority of our workouts tend to be shorter however lately we have been implementing more longer workouts into our programming for the 22 to O WOD event coming up in the next few weeks. There are some unique take aways from doing these longer workouts. One major take away is that small details matter. If your technique is solid at the start your body will do much better in the later rounds of the workout. Start sloppy and you will end sloppy. Life works in simmilar ways, we go into things with no research or guidance and we find our selves playing catch up in every facet in our life. Another take away is so many athletes in long workouts start out guns blazing and with no surprise they struggle minutes later into the workout. So many of us are wired for instant gratification and we think everything happens quick until it doesn't. Stay the path, start slow, and gradually build up. Use these long workouts as a micro lesson for life. Translate to other aspects of your life and you will have impactful growth.
