Description
In this episode I sit down with Shamsa who shares her experience suffering FGC when she was just 6 years old. After suffering FGC (Female Genital Cutting) Shamsa came back to Somalia for her gap year where she was married to her cousin against her will and then was subsequently subjected to abuse and domestic violence. Shamsa's story is truly heartbreaking but her mindset and ability to heal and move forward is so admirable. I learnt so much from Shamsa in this episode and hope you all can too.
