The college football regular season is coming to a close as we enter rivalry week, the final week of the regular season. As the season winds down, the College Football Playoff contenders start to separate themselves but individuals separate themselves for individual awards as well: the Biletnikoff Award for the best receiver in the sport, the Lombardi Award for the best lineman in the sport, the Lou Groza Award to the best kicker in the sport, so on and so forth. But one award stands above them all: the Heisman Trophy; and the starting quarterback for the LSU Tigers is currently the betting favorite for the award that goes to the best player in college football.
Jayden Daniels currently has -110 odds to win the trophy, but closely behind is Oregon Ducks and former Auburn Tigers quarterback Bo Nix at +125 odds. Odds change per sportsbook and change by the day, but it is the consensus that it is a two man race with Washington Huskies quarterback Michael Penix Jr. at +600 odds before the field drops off significantly.
