Description

This week, D and Jac sit down with Abby Donley, nurse and Executive Director of Impact in Healthcare. Impact in Healthcare is a non-profit organization that emerged in response to the challenges of the pandemic, led by a team of healthcare workers addressing the issues in healthcare from a policy and legislative standpoint. Together, they discuss the difficulties healthcare workers face due to workplace violence and the critical issue of safe staffing. They also discuss the lack of preventive measures in hospitals, the shortage of nurses, insufficient resources, and inadequate compensation. Abby shares more on the work that Impact is doing to raise awareness on these issues and gives insight into their upcoming trip to Washington, D.C., where they’ll be meeting with policy makers!
