These nurses are simply asking for enforceable staffing guidelines—something that matters enough for them to walk out of the hospital, understanding full well the gravity of that decision. This is a global crisis with no end in sight—as Nurse Sonja says, it is a "litmus test for how modern-day healthcare will continue to railroad staff if they don’t stand together.” Healthcare is not sustainable as it stands today, but people chose to remain silent because it’s safer.
