The question is what we will do with our influence.Influence is felt through how we communicate.Often, leaders have less influence than they think, which can be a tough pill to swallow. Here are some indicators that you don't have the influence you think: Longer than normal meetings, less productivity around execution, overthinking, and so on.You have to experience yourself through the eyes and ears of your listeners. When you watch yourself, it's easier to understand what can be missing from your method of communication.Social media engagement should not be the only indicator of how much influence we have. At some point, it will be more important to talk with people face-to-face. It will be about conveying your message clearly so that the receiver buys in.Listening is a major element of communication.
