Description
I have waited a long, long time to have this conversation. Not because it hasn’t been requested—it has. Not because I didn’t know how I felt about it—I do. I held off for two reasons. One, because I wanted to talk about it when I felt led to do so, and two… Honestly, I was nervous about how I would be received. But I’m not nervous anymore. So, let’s talk about body positivity. My relationship with food and my body has been a bit of a rollercoaster—I was lucky enough to be raised in a home where I had a healthy view of food, and I’m also a registered dietician, so I “get” food. But when I was in college, things took a bit of a turn…and since then, I’ve learned a LOT about holding duality when it comes to body image, food restriction, and wanting to look a certain way.
