LSU football is dealing with injuries at the safety position and had to reload the cornerback room throughout the offseason, so when head coach Brian Kelly said they were looking to add defensive depth through the spring transfer portal it was clear the defensive back room was part of the conversation.
LSU extended an offer to University of Rhode Island cornerback Antonio Carter II. The Orlando native played in all 22 games over the last two seasons and started 21 of them. He is a hot commodity across schools looking to add defensive depth as he has received offers from several top Division I programs such as Notre Dame, Florida, Wisconsin, Ole Miss and Kentucky. Carter will visit LSU this weekend along with Billy Napier and the Florida Gators.
