Description
James D’Apice is a Director at Chamberlains Law Firm, where he specialises in Directors Disputes. He is also one of Australia’s most prolific legal content creators, highly skilled at marketing himself and his law firm across social media.
You may or may not know that James is from a dynasty of sorts. He is James D’Apice of Makinson D’Apice Lawyers, one of Australia’s oldest commercial law firms, and where he spent part of his career. He comes from a long line of commercial lawyers.
In this honest conversation James and I cover everything from:
Whether his decision to become a lawyer was destiny or choice
How his community radio and rap career provided him with a transferrable skillset that provided solid foundations to become a successful commercial litigator
Privilege and doing the work
Why we should all be feminists
Listening, changing your mind and living and learning
The BTS on how he manages his social media network across platforms (including how he deals with beef + backlash)
Why imposter syndrome is actually fuel for the fire
Whether he has ever been inspired by Harvey Specter
How he balances work, family and content creation
His 81:19 rule + advice to others
I hope you enjoy listening to this honest conversation and it helps open your eyes to the limitless possibilities of where your legal career may take you.
