Description
Maddison is an employment lawyer, diversity and inclusion advocate and public speaker.
As you will learn from our very honest conversation, Maddison is an absolute firecracker and trailblazer. She is hilarious, ambitious, outspoken and extremely community minded.
Maddy does not do anything by halves. She does not anything by the book. This includes her legal career.
Maddison studied law at Griffith University, completed a couple of clerkships but did not get a graduate offer.
She commenced her legal career at Griffith University's in-house legal departments’ inaugural graduate program. While she initially did general corporate work she gravitated towards employment law. When COVID hit, she was seconded to the employment law team where she was advising the university on its costs saving measures (i.e. mass redundancies and not renewing employment contracts).
Unfortunately she experienced the same fate as many of her colleagues and found herself without a job in the pandemic.
How she navigated this is nothing short of bold, brave and inspiring.
And where she has landed is nothing short of impressive.
I hope you enjoy this honest conversation about Maddison’s legal career and it helps open your eyes to the limitless possibilities as to where your legal career may take you.
