Each year some programs are forced to rebuild or reload at certain position groups. For example, the LSU Tigers find themselves in a situation where it has to reload at cornerback. But for one position group, it's not rebuild or reload: it's run it back. John Emery Jr. has decided to return to LSU for a fifth year and forego the 2023 NFL Draft. That means that five of LSU's leading rushers, including leading rusher and quarterback Jayden Daniels, will return to LSU for the 2023 season. Emery ran for 375 yards and six touchdowns this season, adding 129 yards and two touchdowns through the air. So in addition to a strong bodied, quick runner, LSU is also returning a pass catching running back into the rotation next season.
Plus, it's NFL mock draft season! Dane Brugler of The Athletic released his most recent mock of the 2023 NFL Draft and predicts LSU edge rusher BJ Ojulari will just narrowly miss out on the first round but will be one of the first players off the board in the second round. Brugler predicts the Chicago Bears will pick up Ojulari with the third pick in the second round of the Draft. What does that mean for Ojulari's NFL career?
