Description
In the first hour of the show today, Bill gave the audience more insight into the numbers and facts throughout Michigan, America, and the rest of the world. Bill brought up some great points about thinking about the people in your lives right now who may not have the resources they need. There are a lot of elderly folks out there who just might not have the accessibility to thinks we do. Following this conversation we were joined by Chris Balas with a Wolverine Basketball update - Juwan is losing some more players it seems.
In our second hour today, we were joined by Hope College’s Women’s Head Basketball Coach on to get his input on what’s currently happening around the world regarding Covid-19. He told us what his experience was like when all of this hit – and how he had to break that news to his players that their season had come to an abrupt end. He told some personal stories that were very intriguing relating to a couple of his players and their family members.
We kept the conversation rolling in our third and final hour today. Grand Valley Head Football Coach Matt Mitchell joined us to update us on how he, his staff, and players have been affected by all of this. Matt told us about what he and some other college coaches think needs to happen in order for sports to start back up. Bill and Matt also talked a great deal about what the recovery process could look like, and which sports could potentially come back first. We wrapped up the show with the voice of the West Michigan Whitecaps, Dan Hasty to tell the audience about a fun “Fauxpening Day’ game they’ll be doing tonight.
