Bill opened up the show today by asking the audience what they think the good and bad were for MSU and U-M this weekend. Jim Comparoni helped us kick off the broadcast today by discussing that MSU basketball loss to Maryland. He also gave us an update on Mel Tucker as he’s making the rounds building up his staff for the football season. Chris Balas then joined us to talk about U-M baseball winning two very difficult games this weekend and Chris and Bill touched on Harbaugh and the football team.
Bill went further in depth into that MSU loss to Maryland over the weekend and Tim Staudt joined us for the start of the second hour to talk about it. Bill and Tim also took a look at the rest of their season schedule to see where they could end up – it could definitely be a long haul. Brian Boesch also joined us to talk about how good the Wolverine Basketball team looked over the weekend, and he and Bill also went in depth into some U-M Baseball.
In the final hour we continued the conversation with Matt Wenzel regarding MSU and the hire of Mel Tucker. We got Matt’s thoughts on Tucker and where he thinks MSU could go this year based on first impressions. Bill and Matt discussed the football schedule and the difficulty the Spartans are going to face this season. And as the Meijer LPGA is right around the corner – we had Cathy Cooper on to see what there is to look forward to, as well as where volunteers might be needed and how to get involved.
