We opened the show today by talking about the National Championship game between the Buckeyes and Alabama that happens tonight. Huge discussed both teams and their seasons and who he thinks could end up winning it all. Huge asked the audience who they liked tonight – so we took your calls, texts, and comments on who you think will be victorious. We were joined by Tim May in our first hour as he was en route to the game. Tim gave us his thoughts on how that game will look tonight from his perspective. He and Huge talked about what they’ve liked out of both teams all season, and so much more.
In our second hour we wanted to take a look at both Michigan and Michigan State Basketball following a great weekend in college sports. We were first joined by Chris Balas to talk about how great this Wolverine team looks under Juwan Howard. He and Huge talked about the depth that they like and where they see the team ending up, come championship time. They also talked briefly about what’s new since Harbaugh signed his extension this past Friday. We were then joined by Tim Staudt to talk about that gut wrenching loss to Purdue by Tom Izzo and his squad. Huge and Tim discussed how this team seems different than others in the past, and not necessarily in a good way.
In our final hour we wanted to get an update on the coaching/GM search for the Detroit Lions organization. Over the weekend there were a lot of candidates in and out of Allen Park, so we wanted to get Mike O’Hara on the show to get his thoughts on who he would like to see as the new head coach and GM. We then moved on to talk some more U-M basketball and football with our friend Sam Webb. Sam and Huge discussed everything that went down last week regarding Harbaugh’s extension. They also took a look at that great basketball team.
