In our first hour, we wanted to take a look ahead to tomorrow's big game between the Michigan Wolverines and Wisconsin Badgers. We were joined by Chris Balas to get his thoughts on how everything will play out. Huge and Balas also looked in depth at Juwan Howard and all of the great recruits he's signed in the past few days. We then went on to get a Masters leaderboard update. We were joined by our friend Mark Wilson to get his thoughts on how the first two days in Augusta went. They also looked ahead to who to keep an eye out for throughout the rest of the weekend.
In our second hour we were joined by the Head Coach of the Michigan State Basketball team, Tom Izzo. Tom gave us some great insight into everything he has been through in the past week after announcing that he had Covid-19. Tom said he has some side effects, but all in all he’s feeling pretty good. We also got some great conversation in regards to Izzo’s recruiting moves in the off-season, the return of Joshua Langford, college basketball rankings, and so much more. We wrapped up the hour with our friend Derrick Meyer from Watsons so he could tell us about some of the great deals they're having at Watson's Country!
In our final hour we were joined by the Executive Director of the Michigan High School Athletic Association, Mark Uyl. Mark updated us on everything that's happening in regards to wrapping up the Fall Football season. Mark informed us that on some of the effects that these higher Covid numbers have had on HS sports throughout Michigan. Mark also wanted to stress to the audience and to athletes that we have to keep staying as safe as we possibly can in order to stop the transmission of the virus. Dr. K from Metro Health also joined us today to discuss the relationship between Covid-19, sports and our daily lives. With numbers rising in regards to Covid-19 cases we wanted to get an update from Dr. K on the numbers at this point in time. Dr. K and Huge also talked about how sports are being affected as far as positive cases go – but also about how few critical cases there have been in the sports world.
