To open up the show today, we were joined by the Head Coach of MSU Basketball, Tom Izzo. Tom called in to update us on how he's been and what he's been up to during this off-time. He gave us a bit of insight into how what college basketball as a whole is doing, and when he and other coaches believe they will be getting back onto the court to get ready to play again. This, and much more with Coach Izzo. Also during this hour we played Roger Goodell's comments on the racial injustice in the league and across America. Bill broke that down and gave his opinion, and so much more.
In our second hour, we were joined by JP Morosi to discuss the state of the MLB currently, as the owners have come back at the players with another offer. JP and Bill talked about whether they think the players will agree to this, what will happen if they don’t accept, and the likelihood of some type of season happening. We were then joined by Rick Barry to get his thoughts of how the NBA is handling coming back to play once the end of July gets here. Rick also told us about something cool he’s doing to help out Veterans during this pandemic.
In our final hour today, we were joined by University of Michigan Assistant Basketball Coach Saddi Washington. Saddi joined us to talk about what it’s been like for him working with Head Coach Juwan through his first year of coaching at the University. He gave us some insight into difference in leadership styles between Howard and Beilein, what adjustments Saddi has had to make, and so much more when it comes to coaching college basketball. Bill and Saddi also had a great conversation about how this pandemic has affected things for him, and how this country can do better when it comes to justice and equality. To wrap up the show today, we were joined by Frank Schwab to get his thoughts Goodell’s statement from over the weekend, what’s going on in the NFL right now and so much more!
