Huge opened up the show today by talking about how thankful he is that sports are finally back with 66 different sporting events happening over the weekend. He went on from there to go through the recent Big 10 projections and talked about the college football season. And - Since the NBA started back up last night, we wanted to focus on that and the games this weekend for the entirety of the show. Scoop Jackson joined us in the first hour to talk about the bubble, players, and the couple of games from last night. Huge and Scoop also talked about what needs to happen if any players do test positive for Covid or not – and how bad the extent things need to be before the NBA decides to cancel the season. But hopefully, it won’t get to that point.
We carried on the conversation about the return of the NBA in our second hour with a couple of our great Detroit insiders. First we were joined by Rod Beard so Huge could get his thoughts on the games from last night. Huge and Rod also talked about whether the think sports are back too early or right on time. Huge also asked Rod when he thinks the Pistons will be back towards the top. We were then joined by Keith Langlois to talk more about the Pistons and to get his thoughts on the return of the NBA. We took your comments on how you feel about the NBA being back.
In our final hour we were joined by one of Huge’s old broadcasting partners out of Chicago, Lou Canellis. Lou joined us to talk about the MLB as they’re flying through their schedules. Huge asked Lou what the return of the MLB is like for the North and South sides of Chicago, how he thinks things are being handled, and much more. We were then joined by Dr. K to get an update of Covid-19 with it’s relation to sports and the effect on our daily lives. We wrapped up the week with Greg Heeres from BHS Insurance to hear what they’re doing to help their customers and what they’re doing to bring some more in.
