First we were joined by CJ Nitkowski to get his thoughts on how everything has been handled, what he thinks the season will look like, and who he thinks might come out on top. Following CJ, we were joined by Scott Miller to get his thoughts on games starting up, where the Blue Jays should play this year, and much more. Also - off the exhibition game for the tigers last night – Huge wanted to ask the audience how they feel about the kneeling in support of social justice reform and if they support it or not…We took your comments and concerns throughtout the whole show today.
The start of the MLB shortened season is just around the corner and we’re talking to some of our baseball insiders throughout the entire show today. We continued the MLB conversation in the second hour today. We were first joined by Bob Nightengale who came on to discuss the Mookie Betts deal with the Dodgers, some of the new talent coming to the league this year, and they talked about the best rookies for each league. We were then joined by Dan Hasty to take the discussion further. Both Bob and Dan answered Huge’s question about the kneeling during the games last night.
As some state’s are deciding to reel back some of their high school sports this coming fall, we wanted to see if this could be something Michigan could end up doing. The Executive Director of the MHSAA, Mark Uyl joined us to set things straight in regards to if him and his team plan on doing this for high school athletics. Mark also updated us on his team’s precautions and contingency plans. Mark and his team will be meeting next Wednesday and will have more updates next week.
