Description
Today on the show we're taking a look at all of the sports around Michigan and their plans to come back to playing - whether with fans in the stands or not. Things are changing gradually for a lot of different programs. In our first hour Bill talked a bit about the MLB and paying some of their players. We then took a look at what's happening at U-M with Chris Balas. He told us about Harbaugh's latest recruiting class, as well as what Juwan's class is looking like as well. Bill also asked the Huge Question of the Day: How do you feel about the NFL and College Football having no stands in the stands to start out?
Bill kept the conversation rolling in our second hour of the show with a couple of our insiders. First we were joined by Jim Comparoni to talk about what Mel Tucker has been doing recently on the virtual recruiting trail. He also gave us a brief update on Izzo and his team. JP Morosi then joined us to talk more about the MLB coming back as well as the issues they've been having trying to reach an agreement with the players.
In our final hour we talked about what NASCAR has been doing recently as one of those sports that isn’t having fans in the stands. Jeff Striegle joined us for that conversation. We then got a brief update from Mike O’Hara regarding our Detroit Lions during this strange offseason. Dr. K called in for an update on Covid-19 in relation to sports. We ended the show with Terra Tarango from the Van Andel Institute to discuss something they’ve got going on to help raise awareness about this new learning environment during these crazy times.
