Description

Huge opened up the show by talking about some of the interesting things that happened over the weekend – both in his personal life and in the world of sports. He talked about what some of the other states in this country are doing in response to some of their rising Covid-19 numbers. California is flipping their fall and spring seasons for their high schools and some schools are even fully canceling their seasons. We then wanted to play our interview with Jordy Mercer from late last week. This is right of the heels of the Detroit Tigers moving around some of their players this afternoon. Huge also threw out the Huge Question of the Day: What will it be like if there is no football this fall?
In our second hour we talked about some of the safety precautions the NFL has been thinking about and how they’re still somewhat behind as far that goes. Now people are wondering if the NFL will even have a season. To talk more about this we were joined by Logan Lamorandier to get his thoughts. Huge and Logan both agreed that the NFL is further behind than they should be and it really makes them question the season starting. Logan and Huge also discussed what it could look like for the Lions if they do play it. We then moved on to get a U-M update with Chris Balas. He and Huge talked about if they think Harbaugh and his team will play and they discussed the effect this could have on the school (and other colleges alike) if there isn’t any football to bring money in.
Huge opened up our final hour today by talking about the angst for players in every sport that has announced they’re coming back. He talked about how difficult all of this has been for the people whose livelihood solely rests on their job which is being affected by Covid-19. We went on to talk about this as it relates to the NBA – and Scoop Jackson joined us for this conversation. We wrapped up the show with more on this conversation with Graham Couch and where he thinks everything is going as it pertains to the national sports as well as the college sports.
