Description

I’ve asked tons of ultrarunners what their #1 tip is for being a better athlete every day. And the most common answer by far? Be more consistent. Meaning, you make running a part of your routine, and you stick with it on a near daily basis.
Our guest today, Andrew Glaze, is the perfect example of what it means to be consistent, as he is currently on a 111-week streak of running 100 mile weeks! Totally crazy. Andrew is one of the most passionate ultrarunners you’ll ever meet, as his love for running is unmatched. He has completed tons of ultra races, logged an insane amount of miles on his feet (with him ranking in the top 10 in the world on Strava at times), and documents his entire journey for all to be inspired by on social media. On top of being an avid ultrarunner, he is also a firefighter/first responder and shows up as a loving husband and father to his family. He lives by the amazing phrase: “smile or you’re doing it wrong”, and his incredible energy has inspired thousands on social media, gaining him over 100k followers on TikTok.
In this episode, Andrew talks about how he’s able to stay so consistent with his running (so you can too), how he manages his time to get in his training and still show up fully in his job and family, and why running slow is actually the key to performing better.
