Description

Today's podcast is a slight deviation from our normal programme. Every 10th episode, we will be chatting to an ancillary health professional who helps, coaches, mentors, teaches or treats masters swimmers. Our guest today is the founder of Swimnastics - Kirsten Norden. If you are not familiar with Swimnastics, then you soon will be!. It is a dry-land program incorporating the fundamentals of gymnastics to help swimmers build strength, flexibility and skill acquisition in the water. We chat about how Kirsten developed Swimnastics in response to Head Australian Olympic Swimming Coach Rohan Taylor, asking for a program designed specifically for swimmers to use. She talks about how the program has grown in popularity, starting with face to face classes, and now online Zoom and an on-demand library available.  Swimming Victoria, Swimming Australia and Swimming NSW and QLD are all using this. Even the Melbourne based Australian Rules Football reigning premiers - Richmond FC use Swimnastics.  Listen in to the podcast and find out why this approach is perfect for masters swimmers, both pool and open water.Connect with Kirsten at:https://swimnastics.com.auFacebook at;SWIMNASTICSInstagram at: swimnastics_auConnect with Torpedo Swimtalk:https://www.torpedoswimtalk.com/
