    Thought - an ambivalent force

    In the shadow of the negative events exacerbated by the pandemic, I felt a massive impulse to turn my attention inward rather than focus on the external turmoil. Introspection. Undoubtedly it was a period that triggered many changes in people. A kind of jolt to reality. Some have been frozen by fear, and their souls have closed tighter than ever before. And others, well, it helped them to understand their nature more deeply.

    My starting point was to understand more of this great mystery we carry within us and to gradually navigate the inner labyrinth, with the hope of finding fulfillment. That fulfillment that does not depend on anything from the outside. Among the authors who indirectly guided me in this journey is Bruce H. Lipton, whose works, especially the book The Biology of Belief, I recommend to every reader. A real revelation, bringing with it that glimmer of hope in an increasingly cold world, where uncertainty and disconnection seem to dominate.

    According to Lipton, a renowned cellular biologist, the thoughts and beliefs we hold have a direct impact on our health. His research shows that through our consciousness and beliefs, we have the ability to influence the way our bodies work. Although we inherit certain genetic traits from our parents, the beliefs we hold can modify the activity of these genes and can create real changes in our bodies.

    A compelling example that supports Lipton's research is the placebo effect. This phenomenon, intensively studied in the medical field, throws us a bridge to a little-known reality. The power of the mind to heal. When a person strongly believes in the effectiveness of a treatment, even when the treatment itself does not contain active substances, the body can respond positively and begin the healing process. Thus, we can understand that healing does not depend so much on medicinal substances, as on our mental attitude. It is the patient's beliefs, expectations, and state of mind that lead to recovery.

    Thoughts can act bidirectionally, depending on their nature. The positive ones have curative potential, and the negative ones lead to unpleasant physical symptoms. Like panic attacks. Sudden episodes of fear, specific to panic attacks, come with a whole list of adverse manifestations. All of this is driven by the catastrophic thoughts we have, which only serve to amplify our feelings of distress. Opposite to the placebo effect, but acting on the same principle, this phenomenon is called the nocebo effect.

    These reactions can be better understood through the lens of quantum physics. Quantum physics regards man as a fraction of a divine unity, part of a complex web of links and interdependencies. Every person is interconnected with everything around him. We are all deeply connected to other aspects of life and the universe. Our thoughts have a much more complex impact than it seems at first glance, extending beyond what we commonly observe in everyday life. Nothing happens by chance. What we often call coincidences are actually subtle braids of an ultra-intelligent system.

    You can think of this system as pieces that merge and form a puzzle. The resulting puzzle then becomes a piece in a larger puzzle itself. And so on, in an infinite succession of interconnected events. When it seems that things have settled too well in your life, or on the contrary, when problems are chained, this is the order perfectly orchestrated by the universe. Order related to the vibration we emit.

    Also through the lens of quantum physics, when examining physical matter at the subatomic level, it is found that it is not even physical in nature. Subatomic particles, such as electrons, exhibit dual behavior, displaying both particle and wave characteristics. Due to its fluid nature, energy can interact with matter and transform it. On the human level, this transformation occurs through consciousness and intention. Our thoughts, as forms of energy, contribute to the creation and transformation of material reality. A notable example is the experiment conducted by the Japanese researcher Masaru Emoto, who studied the effects of words on water. He exposed water to various stimuli, both positive and negative. Some of the water samples were addressed with words of love and kindness, while others were treated with contempt and criticism. When the water was frozen, samples exposed to positive influences formed crystals in complex, symmetrical patterns, similar to snowflakes. On the other hand, water exposed to negativity produced messy, chaotic patterns.

    This experiment demonstrates water's receptivity to words, highlighting its energetic nature and sensitivity to the vibrations in its environment. The thoughts and emotions we have emit energetic vibrations with the ability to shape the structure of matter. At the same time, beyond our physical aspect, we are also energetic beings. If words have managed to change the structure of matter into a drop of water, our bodies are nothing less. Just like the water in the experiment, our bodies are sensitive to the energetic vibrations around us and can transform in response to the energy they interact with.

    In quantum physics, the concept of superposition explains that a particle can exist in multiple states simultaneously. You can think here of a coin that you blow up. Until the moment the coin hits the ground, theoretically there are two real possibilities concurrently. In one case, the coin lands with the emblem facing up, and in the other, it lands with the emblem facing down. Until the event is observed or measured, the coin can explore both possible outcomes simultaneously. The spectrum of possibilities in the quantum universe is immense. The process by which particles choose a single state from multiple possibilities is the same as the materialization of thoughts into reality.

    Thoughts flow constantly, and their speed can be extremely fast. In our minds there are multiple thoughts and ideas competing for attention and expression. At every step we are faced with a choice. Many of these choices we make unconsciously, such as routine actions. They become automatic over time, because we repeat them many times. Our brain learns to execute them without consciously involving us. But whether these choices are made consciously or unconsciously, they create our reality. The materialization of one possibility over another is influenced by the focus and energy given to it over time. This process is shaped by our attention to the possibility, our belief in its realization, and the actions we take toward it.

    Let's say you're thinking of making a professional conversion. One of your thoughts is positive and encourages you to follow your passion, the other is negative and urges you to stay in your comfort zone. If you feed the positive thought with more beneficial thoughts, then this possibility is more likely to take shape in physical reality. With every thought directed toward a certain possibility, you increase its chances of taking shape in reality.

    The idea that thoughts influence our reality is not unique to quantum physics. In yogic philosophy, the principle of karma indicates that our actions and thoughts determine our destiny. Neuroscience and psychology explore how our thoughts contribute to our happiness. The law of attraction suggests that similar things attract. Religion also emphasizes the life-changing power of prayer.

    A powerful example of the influence of thoughts is the story of Viktor Frankl, a Holocaust survivor and the founder of logotherapy. While imprisoned in Nazi concentration camps, Frankl observed firsthand the power of human will to survive and find meaning amidst unimaginable suffering. In the camp, he lost his family and went through unimaginable horrors, but discovered that those who had a strong will to live had better resilience in the face of suffering. Thus, Frankl came to the conclusion that, even under the worst conditions, people can retain control over their attitude towards a particular situation. People have the freedom to choose how to interpret and react to a situation.

    There are numerous attested stories about people who, being on their deathbed, showed a strong will to live and had miraculous recoveries. This willpower positively influences the physiological processes of the body and contributes to surprising
