Astrology itself is an ancient practice that dates back thousands of years, with its origins in Babylonian and Egyptian civilizations. The word astrology is derived from the Greek words ‘astron,’ meaning star, and ‘logos,’ meaning study. It involves the study of the positions and movements of celestial bodies, such as planets and stars, and their potential influence on human affairs and natural phenomena.

The Zodiac and Birth Chart:

At the heart of horoscopes is the Zodiac, a circle of twelve divisions, each associated with specific constellations and corresponding to particular periods of the year. The twelve signs of the Zodiac are Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius, and Pisces.

An individual’s horoscope is constructed based on their birth chart, also known as a natal chart or astrological chart. This chart is a map of the celestial bodies’ positions at the exact time and place of a person’s birth. The three key components of a birth chart are the Sun sign, Moon sign, and Ascendant (rising sign).

2. Moon Sign: The Moon sign reflects the position of the Moon at the time of birth. It is believed to influence an individual’s emotions, instincts, and inner self. The Moon’s position changes rapidly, making the Moon sign a crucial aspect of the birth chart.
