Astrology’s Power Point Brings in Spring
Happy International Astrology Day! Many years ago a group of astrologers known as the Association for Astrological Networking (AFAN) decided to promote the idea of celebrating the day when the Sun entered the sign of Aries each year as International Astrology Day. The idea caught on, and now many groups around the world celebrate the day with social and educational events. Aries is of course the first sign of the zodiac, and for us in the Northern Hemisphere it is also the first day of spring.
Aries represents new beginnings and fresh starts. It has an exuberant quality, thanks to its association with a joy for life, and a desire to explore that life to the fullest. The very first degree of this sign can be considered a power point in any chart, an indicator of where the real power in the chart lies. For example, if 0 Aries falls in the middle of your 2nd house, your finances are of incredible importance to you. If that degree appears in your 5th house, then you may have experienced a lot of high-drama and power plays in your romantic relationships. 0 Aries pulses with power, so take note of it whenever it makes key connections in an event chart.
Note that all four of the seasons are in tune with the four Cardinal signs of the them happen. Occasionally such people tend to cut corners in an effort to get a project out of their in-box and into the boss’s hands. For them, results count, and they figure (often correctly) that the details can be tended to later.
