INTRODUCTION

Astrology is as old as time itself. Since first man looked about himself, observing the sun, the moon and the stars, as well as his more immediate surroundings, he has wondered. In his wondering, he discovered means of tying the seasons together, in correlation to the movements of the stars, the planets that were visible to him, and to the days and nights themselves.

Though Vedic Astrology was passed on to us by our Ancient Rishi’s the Western Astrology came out of Persia to Greece, then moved onward to be embraced by Rome, before spreading throughout Europe. From Europe it enveloped the globe in time, as peoples moved westward.

Astrology is neither religion, nor superstition-no more so than religion is superstition, except for those who wish to make it so. Astrology is a science or an art for it employs. the science of astronomy as the other sciences use related sources of material (i.e., such as medicine uses chemistry or biology), and its application depends upon the artistry of the astrologer.

Astrology is neither fortune-telling, nor divination, nor philosophy, yet it is all of these, including religious influences, with superstitious overtones, all of which make astrology an artful science. Scientists, in the exact sense, allow room for error, and so it is with astrology, for the astrologer is like a weatherman who may forecast rain but cannot tell who will be wet.

Astrologers cast horoscopes for given periods of time, basing their findings upon the movement of the planets, the sun, moon, and stars, as well as their date and time of birth. or conception for individuals. Astromancers cast their informative readings from the stars alone and should not be confused with astrologers.

A horoscope, (from the Greek horo, meaning hour, and scope, meaning a view) presents planetary influences which are both physical and psychological, based upon the birthdate of the individual. Man’s physical body is of the animal kingdom, so why should it not also be affected by the sun and moon in a physical way? And if the brain is an instrument of the mind or spirit, man senses the effect psychologically.

During the times of the full moon, not only do crimes increase, as is well known by all police departments the world over, and attested to, but the bodily functions are stimulated, heightened and usually attested to by overt sexual relationships indulged in at this particular phase of the moon in each given month.

The zodiac is a huge timepiece, by which man can ascertain the probability of events forthcoming. While they might not always take the form imagined, the indications. are significant, and man acts or reacts according to his inner ability to comprehend and apply himself to the given situation. For instance, if a man knows that he is in search of, or in need of, a conquest, whether physical or mental, his horoscope can present indications of direction, degree and the influencing planetary impulses upon which he may safely act.

There are no two members of any one sign who are exactly alike in their habits, their sexual patterns, or their lives. There may be similarities between individuals of the. same signs, but this would be as far as it goes, for man has free will, to do with his life as he chooses, and no two people whether of the same sign or of different signs of the zodiac react exactly the same way to the same situations.
