Astrology for The New Age
Let’s review what we have on our collective plate this month: we have Venus starting in Sagittarius, moving merrily through Capricorn, and entering Aquarius on February 1; we have Mars making his merry way through Taurus, starting on January 6 and ending on March 3; we had Saturn entering Aquarius back in mid-December, Jupiter making the same shift a few days later, and the two of them conjoining in the first degree of Aquarius, a matter we discussed last month and will review a bit below.
Note the emphasis on Aquarius: the Sun enters that sign on January 19, joining Jupiter, Saturn, and Mercury there. Add to this Mercury’s retrograde station on January 30 at 26 Aquarius. Mars, whom I referred to above as “merry” but who perhaps does not always qualify as such, squares the four just mentioned as he marches through Taurus, where Uranus, everyone’s favorite revolutionary, makes a direct station on January 14 (at 6 Taurus). Finally, transiting Jupiter in Aquarius squares transiting Uranus in Taurus on January 17, suggesting new insights, ideas, and helpful progress as humans find ways to take new approaches to practical and needed changes in the social fabric.
