About this ebook
With a deep appreciation for having translated his extensive wealth of therapeutic knowledge into the practice of mental health and spiritual exercises and now into verse, these poems convey a profound sense of moving toward a state of bliss, as they make a sincere effort to overcome every human challenge with unwavering positivity and spirit.
The perfect metrical arrangement is also a search for care to make every poetic reflection harmoniously musical.
This body of work is not a magic cure, but if you use these incredible verses as a daily “mantra” you will significantly achieve an inner balance that will make you face the path of life with harmony and lightness.
It is not provocative to say that perhaps today’s world needs more sweet and profound words than a bulimic world of artificial and retouched images: the profound sense of beauty is above all internal and poetry can be an excellent vehicle for this intent.

Luminescence in Verse - Savva Emanon
Preface
Savva Emanon’s new collection, as the title announces, Luminescence in Verse - Poetry about the human condition, takes its inspiration from the author’s personal experience as a psychotherapist, counsellor, and dance / movement therapist.
The choice to order the poems alphabetically, while on one hand it would seem to reveal a certain need for an orderly path, in reality it hides an almost constant logic, where some words and expressions constantly recur, as if to remind us that in life certain moods, thoughts, actions and relationships are necessary if we want to live peacefully, and that we need to count them, like a fixed point.
The perfect metrical arrangement is also a search for care to make every poetic reflection harmoniously musical.
Try reading them aloud, reciting some metrics, you will almost feel relieved and happy!
But the skill and originality of this artist of the word
does not end here. He amazes by sometimes using archaic words, little used, but which recall the sighs of ancient poets, as in Love of Mine
playing with thee, thy, thou:
"…Oh, sweetest love of mine, my heart doth sing,
With every thought of thee, my soul takes wing,
Thy beauty shines as bright as the noonday sun,
Thy grace and kindness make my heart undone.
***
In every flower, every star, every blade of grass,
I see thy face, and my heart beats fast,
For thou art the love of my life, my sweet,
The one with whom my soul shall ever meet."
A positive and optimistic connection pervades every verse, even towards violence, Savva has a constructive approach that overcomes terror and damage and invites the reader to peaceful action, conscious of that greater awareness, potential, and purpose inside human beings, where love should be the norm
:
"It’s a curse that we bear, a burden we share,
A wound that we carry, a pain that’s not rare.
This violence is rampant, a terror so real,
A world in peril, a world we must heal.
So let us come together, and break this cycle,
And build a world, where peace is the miracle.
Where love is the norm, and violence a thing of the past,
A world where the wounds, are healed and do not last"
Not even agony seems like a threat when you have the certainty that faith and hope will heal every wound and joy will come:
The weight of the pain, it bears down on me,
Making it hard to rise, to be set free.
But I know, this too shall pass, with time,
And the sun will shine again, on my life’s rhyme.
I hold on, to hope and to faith,
And try to find comfort, in this moment of grace.
For I know, that with each passing day,
Agony will lessen, and joy will come my way.
So the darkness should not be feared, because the light will always shine again:
Embrace the darkness, with open arms,
For it holds the answers, to life’s many harms.
For it’s in the blackest night, that hope is born,
And the light of tomorrow, breaks through the dawn.
Life and its soul permeate everything, even after death.
The Poet in fact reads:
"In the memories we keep and the love we share,
In the moments we treasure and the joy we bear.
For death may take our bodies away,
But it can never truly steal our soul’s ray."
Recurring words that reconnect us, those full of positive inspiration are often present: joy, happiness, peace, love and light embrace every line in a joyous whirlwind.
This body of work is not a magic cure, but if you use these incredible verses as a daily mantra
you will significantly achieve an inner balance that will make you face the path of life with harmony and lightness.
It is not provocative to say that perhaps today's world needs more sweet and profound words than a bulimic world of artificial and retouched images: the profound sense of beauty is above all internal and poetry can be an excellent vehicle for this intent.
Abundance
Abundance, oh how it flows,
A river of riches endlessly grows.
A gift from the heavens, a divine grace,
Bringing joy, peace, and a smile to one’s face.
The sun rises every day,
A new dawn, a new way.
With its light, it brings new hope,
A sign for many, that we can cope.
The fields are lush and green,
With crops that sway and dance, unseen.
A bounty of nature, a feast for the eye,
A reminder of plenty, as we watch them go by.
The birds sing their song,
A melody that can’t go wrong.
Their joyous trill, a sweet refrain,
A symbol of abundance, of life’s sweet gain.
The stars twinkle in the sky,
A diamond-studded canvas, soaring high.
Each one, a gift from above,
A feeling so full of God’s boundless love.
The ocean crashes at the shore,
A symphony of waves, forever more.
Its power and majesty, a breathtaking sight,
A movement of nature, in all its might.
Abundance is not just about wealth,
It’s about a life that’s abundant, with health.
It’s about love, happiness, and peace of mind,
A life filled with purpose, a life of kind.
So let us embrace this abundance, so true,
And be grateful for all that it brings to you.
For it is a gift, a blessing, a grace,
A symbol of the beauty, of this wondrous place.
A Broken Heart
A broken heart is a weight that bears down,
A burden that crushes, a soul that drowns,
It’s a wound that festers, a pain that’s real,
A feeling that nothing can ever heal.
It’s the memory of a love that is lost,
The hope that’s dashed, the dreams that are tossed,
The emptiness that’s left behind,
The tears that fall, the heart that’s blind.
A broken heart is a maze to navigate,
A journey that’s hard, a path to create,
It’s a puzzle that is missing a piece,
A riddle that is hard to release.
It’s the anger that is hard to contain,
The regret that is hard to restrain,
The sadness that is hard to explain,
The longing that is hard to maintain.
A broken heart is a test of strength,
A trial that lasts for an unknown length,
It’s a challenge that can’t be ignored,
A battle that must be endured.
It’s the hope that still flickers inside,
The love that still lingers, a heart that won’t hide,
The courage to start again,
The faith that love will come back in.
A broken heart is a journey of self-discovery,
A chance to find a new inner harmony,
It’s a reminder
