I wish I could understand why I exist
So I could free my chained soul
Though you would never know the pain inside,
based on my first impression.
Why was I placed so strategically
as a spec on this earth?
What is my purpose, the plan, do I even have worth?
Seasons change as my moods do
The promise of life seems like a conspiracy, treason.
But who cares about my purpose or the state of my mind,
The healers have heard it all, they’re just being kind.
The empty pill bottles, scales and lofty measures
Can’t fix the corruption rotting my brain
I beg to bring back my smile. Explore my pleasures.
No one bothered to explain the matter of existence!
To get married, expand my womb and replicate myself
Then to nurture, to love and guide with persistence?
How can I when I haven’t even begun
To truly love myself,
like a fugitive, I’ve been on the run.
