Foreword
Hello, everyone.
Hi, this is M.G.Mathews. yes, I am now a proud father to my son, Donn Mathews.
I was surprised when he approached me with a request to write a forward for his first Novel. I have been a writer but write only for Christian magazines and websites. Happy to know my son, has taken a leap forward and has become an author. His genre of writing is mainly science fiction and technology. Good to know as a student of Psychology he is doing a great job with this book. It took him one year to complete this one. I hope he will pen more Novels and more self-help books at a much faster rate for everyone to enjoy reading. He is down to earth person, loves simple things in life and he is a Scorpio, so he tries to achieve what he dreams of. I enjoyed reading books written by him.
I wish him all the best for his new career as a Novelist, and a Psychiatrist.

Introduction: Understanding Shyness
In the quiet moments of our lives, we've all experienced that familiar twinge of hesitation, that lingering uncertainty that holds us back from speaking up, from reaching out, from fully embracing the world around us. For many, this feeling is fleeting, a passing moment easily shrugged off. But for others, it's a persistent companion, a shadow that follows wherever they go. This is the essence of shyness.
Shyness isn't merely a preference for solitude or a momentary bout of nerves in social situations. It's a complex interplay of emotions, thoughts, and behaviours that can profoundly impact every aspect of our lives. From missed opportunities in relationships to stunted career growth, the effects of shyness ripple outward, shaping the contours of our existence in ways both seen and unseen.
But what exactly is shyness? How does it manifest, and why does it wield such power over our lives? These are the questions that form the foundation of our journey together. In the pages that follow, we'll delve deep into the heart of shyness, unravelling its mysteries and uncovering the pathways to freedom.
We'll explore the roots of shyness, tracing its origins from childhood experiences to societal expectations. We'll dissect its impact on mental health, examining the tangled relationship between shyness and anxiety, depression, and low self-esteem. And most importantly, we'll illuminate the path forward, offering practical strategies and insights for breaking free from the shackles of shyness and embracing a life of confidence and self-assurance.
But before we embark on this transformative journey, it's essential to acknowledge one simple truth: you are not alone. Countless individuals around the world grapple with shyness every day, each wrestling with their own unique struggles and triumphs. And it's through our shared experiences that we find strength, solidarity, and the courage to face our fears head-on.
So, whether you're a lifelong wallflower or someone who's recently found themselves held captive by shyness's grip, know that hope is not lost. The journey to conquering shyness begins with a single step, and together, we'll navigate the winding path towards a brighter, more liberated future.
Are you ready to embark on this journey of self-discovery and transformation? If so, turn the page, and let the adventure begin.
My Own Shyness Experience
In the small town where I grew up, everyone knew everyone else's business. Neighbours waved to each other on the street, parents chatted at the grocery store, and kids roamed the
