About this ebook

In this Book, I will share with you all of the knowledge and insight I have picked up as an IT Recruiter working within an international environment. As far as I know by myself that an official IT language is quite dry and yes, even, boring and sometimes hard to follow for a non-IT person, I have tried to make this Book as easy to understand (using a lot of practical examples) as it is practically possible.

Thus, in this Book you will find an introduction to information about:
    1. IT Fundamentals (such as hardware & software, operating systems, and project life cycle), which are essential for further IT roles understanding;
    2. IT roles itself (key responsibilities, functions, and skills related to it). Each recruiter has to stay in close contact with the hiring manager to be able to identify his needs and each recruiter has to understand the market to be able to find a perfect match;
    3. IT Technologies (incl. programming languages, frameworks, databases, deployments, and communication tools)
    4. Some tips for conducting the interviews.

I sincerely hope that you will enjoy this Book on an ongoing basis and that it helps you be at your job not only efficiently but successfully.

Are you ready to jump into an IT Recruitment world? See you soon! And no worries, if you can't swim there yet, I have a lifebuoy with me.

Who this Book is for:
    1. Beginners in IT Recruitments
    2. IT Recruiters who would like to deepen their knowledge or simply would like to learn something new
    3. Those, for whom simple "keyword" search method is not enough
    4. Those, who would like to understand and IT word better to be able to do their job great and to succeed

    IT / Non-IT Recruiter Training To Become A Recruiter (Junior) - SHAKRUDDIN KHAN

    Introduction To Applicants Selection - A 36 Feet View Of The System

    Hello, everyone, and welcome to this chapter two point one. Select the right person for all I am recruiting. So in this chapter, the objective is going to be around recruiting. We know the objective for that Book. The objective is to recruit. A great person. For eyeteeth. Roll. OK. That hasn't changed its celebrity. We are looking for a great person for 081. We've already seen that. You have two components. We have a great person. And we have the I.T. rule, OK? And they go together. OK. Always for the wall together in that recruiting. We want that great person to be very good at the role we are going to recruit for.

    OK, a great person in isolation doesn't really mean anything for us. What we're looking for is to fill up a specific role, a technical role in I.T. role. And we want someone who's going to be very good at filling that role for us. OK, that's it. So from that. We are going to take a step back in the process and we're going to be looking at how it would work if we were looking for something completely different, but it's actually quite linked, which is gold. OK, so say we are looking for gold. Say we are looking for gold and provided we are. So this is us. This is a recruiter. OK. Not a very good looking regulator, but nevertheless a recruiter and provided that recruiter right here is walking around in an area where there is, you know, gold. It should be pretty easy to find that gold, provided we have a gold detector.

    All right, so let's imagine for a second that our recruiter right here has that gold detector with him and is walking in an area where there is quite a lot of gold. So provided we have the detector right here, it should be quite easy because all we are waiting for is we're waiting for a beep. OK, we are waiting for that thing right here to do. Beep, beep, beep, beep, beep. And we know there's a beep. Then that means we found gold. That's as simple as this, OK? Now, with the detector, with the detectors, there is no risk provided that detector right here, provided the detector right here is set up properly.

    There is no risk to get something else and gold provided the detector is set up for gold. And it's set up properly, we don't have any risk of finding something else and it's not going to beep for something different than gold, OK? Therefore, we are pretty much with a detector like this. We are pretty much solving the number one question, which is how do I select the right person and how to avoid the bad, the bad uptick in the back people, the people I don't want to hire. OK, so we have to remember two key questions, which is how do I select? The right person and how do I? Avoid that, the bad ones. OK. Well, you know, if that stuff beeps. For gold and only for gold.

    Then as soon as we are walking around this, we know we have that for sure, would you? OK, so the question for us is, how can we build a detector? You know, basically and instead of detecting gold, how can we build a detector that's going to detect the right applicants, which is what we are looking for. You know, all gold, basically. OK, so let's take that detector right here. Let's take it, let's take it apart, OK? Let's put it apart and let's just see how it's working. OK, so we're going to go and grab our gold as well. Let's go and grab our gold as well. Up. There we go. All right, so we've got our gold. And so how does that stuff work? OK. Well, it's pretty simple. Right here.

    We have some sensors. OK, we have some sensors. And as soon as the sensors come across gold. They are sending. A message to oops, no, that's for Carinae, sorry, Apu, or Detector's Gone now. Up. I'm not going to be able to erase all this doesn't matter. We're going to do it with another color as soon as the sensors are found. They're sending a message to this part here is going to go beep, beep, beep, OK. Now. The sensors, the sensors here. They're guided by that device right here and inside that device, that's like the brain or most of the detector. We have some properties.

    OK, we have some property, so what does that mean, the property is that. And so here we have a flow of information. We said, OK, so. These properties are right here. It's a freeload off the detector. With what he has to find, AK. So these properties are preloaded in the machine right here. To tell the machine what you are looking for and in the census and continuous information of the stuff that he's encountering and as soon as. The census finds gold, the machine would beep because of the properties, because of  decay. It's going to react with the information from the census. So that's how it works.

    All right, so now we know now that we know how it works and we can try and build one. OK. And we can see that the starting points where everything happens is here with the properties. OK, this is the start of the whole thing, because if the properties are wrong, then the whole thing is going to be wrong as well. OK, so we need the right properties, then we need some sensors. Just sense reality to give us information that we need a link between the two, which is the information flow, which is actually pretty easy to build. But if I summarize it right here. Once I've got the properties loaded properly.

    Once I've got it. The senses. And then the flow of information between the two. And it's that easy. OK. Then it is dead easy to find gold, provided I'm walking around gold again. The difficult part actually becomes finding. Knowing where I go, where I walk? OK. That part right here, we'll take care of making sure it's actually good they're going to grab. OK. Now, when it comes to this part right here, the properties, it is pretty critical because if it's not done right. For example, instead of loading, you know, the properties of gold so gold, we could have something like, I don't know, purity, gold, purity, level of purity, the size of the nugget. You know, maybe like a five centimeter minimum or something.

    And then all the properties that make sure that it is actually gold. But if it is not rightly done and instead we are doing something like. You know. Precious. Metal, OK. Now, precious metal is interesting because we are actually looking for what we're looking for. Is this right? We are looking for this, we are looking for gold, but instead. We've loaded our machine or detector right here. We've loaded it with the information that we are looking for precious metal. Now, what do we think is going to happen? Well, what's going to happen is that our. Machinery here might not even might, but will beep for any precious metal. So you could start beeping for an emerald. It could start beeping for a diamond. Is it what we're looking for? No, we're not looking for a diamond.

    We're not looking for an emerald. We are looking for these things. We are looking for gold. But because we have said precious metal, that even if we've been a little bit more accurate than this, you know, maybe we've even said, you know, above five centimeters and a few other things. But because it's all about precious metal and there's no actual segregation between the metals, we've not been selective enough. We've not been accurate enough in our selection in our properties. Then we're going to be we're going to be beeping on this and we're going to be beeping on this as well and any other precious metal. And so if we actually are looking for gold, then we're going to hire essentially we're going to grab, you know, Covid an itinerary.

    We're going to hire the wrong stuff. Right. So this property is absolutely critical. All right. It is absolutely critical. So if we are getting to now or ELITE recruiting and leaving the goal for a second on the properties, okay, so we've got properties. And here we have gold. OK, we're looking for gold. When it comes to recruiting. We are looking for the perfect. Sorry. We are looking for success. Person. For what? For the job, for the rule. That's what we're looking for, isn't it? So we still have a role and we have a successful person. All right. And the two work together. All right. So from that. We're going to have to define this. Property. Before we can then define. The successful person properly. OK. It was a way we're going to build our properties. We're going to define the role.

    And then from the road, we're going to deduct. The successful person and what we're going to call this in our recruitment process right here is the applicant, the successful. Applicants. The sun. Important right here is on a successful applicant persona, which is going to be deducted from. The job description. So that job description is right here. Is going to help us. Define the successful applicant persona. OK, that's going to be step number one. That's going to be number two. All right. So that's how it's going to work. Perfect. Now we've got this. We need some census. OK. Remember, we also need the census. So. In all.

    You know, gold example. So that's number one here. That's number one here. OK, in our gold example, it's all about detecting what the properties are. What it's going to be is the same, you know, the senses. The sensors are going to detect what. The successful applicant persona, and so for that, we're going to have instead of like an actual census, we are going to do some tests. So anal anal detector, which is not going to be like a machine like we had. We can have some tests. We can have some tests that are going to enable us to. Confidently say whether or not we have a successful applicant persona in front of us or if we don't have someone successful. OK.

    And we remember what the successful applicant's persona is, is someone who's going to be successful at the job. Right. This is all linked. So we are going to take a test. If a particular applicant is going to be successful. Well, not at the job, and for that, going to create some good tests that are going to enable us to make these decisions. It's very simple. OK. Very, very simple. And then from that. Well, we're going to do the same. So what we need then from that is. Like hair. We have a flow of information. It's the same here. And we've already got it right here between our test and our applicants or properties or whatever. We're going to have a flow of information and that flow of information. From the test. He's going to be what we call a scoresheet.

    OK, so we're going to school or applicants with an objective. And as much as possible, fast. Manners. In order to quickly. And reliably. Assess. The applicants. OK. And once we are able to do this, then everything starts to fall together and it becomes pretty easy to spot the right applicants and the wrong applicants, and it becomes pretty easy to select the right people for our job. OK. So if I summarize all of this for us. We're going to start here with a job description. That's what we're going to see in the next chapter. Then we're going to move on with the applicant persona. I mean, the successful applicant persona I should put. OK, so the job description is going to. He's going to help us to create a son of the sex for the successful applicant.

    And number three, we're going to create some tests. And these tests are going to be created. From the successful applicant for Senate. And then number four, we're going to tie everything together. With this call sheet, which is going to be all sensors and automation. To make everything quick and reliable. OK. And that's. That's all. Gold detector. For. I see recruiting. And for each of these, we can have a dedicated chapter. OK. And that's simple . It is going to be for you to build your detector. That's going to help you to select exactly the right people for your next I.T. role. OK, so that's all. That's the introduction for this whole chapter. You would see I'm going to guide you step by step in this whole thing. And yeah, it can be fun and it's going to be very, very simple for you to build all of this. So I see you in the next chapter.

    Define The Job Position (Results Based Method)

    Hey, everyone, welcome back to this training and in this chapter define the job position, so we've just seen how all Jentleson on this on this whole chapter, how not to take bad applicants. How do you find great applicants? We've covered the basics. And now we need to delve into defining the job position, which is basically setting up all gold detectors. That's all that's what it is right now. We're trying to put together a gold detector for the perfect applicants. So what you're going to see is going to be pretty easy. It's going to be a very simple one. But there is a very, very key concept that we need to grasp. And that's the purpose of this chapter. Right. So we are where we were. OK, so the objective right now for us is to build all the sorry for that.

    It's to build the gold detector, OK, to build a gold detector. OK, and what school golfers, what is gold? Well, gold is. Someone. Good. At. The role? Yeah. That's how we define someone, a person who's going to be good at the rules. OK, so we will have two key things right here. Remember, then we have some applicants. And then we have a role that we want to fill. OK. We were recruiting for. And the ideal scenario is someone who is going to be good at it, who's going to be good at this, so the gold detector is supposed to beep, beep, beep, beep, beep, beep, beep, beep, beep, beep, beep. Is it what you are supposed to do? Beep, beep. When it encounters people who are going to be good at the rules, it is very simple.

    So for that, we need to load our gold detector, we need to load the high. How can you say the operation system? You know, the operating system of the gold detector? We need to load it with the right parameter. We need to build the right operating system. So that's all we're doing right now. We are building the operating system of a gold detector and we are going to load it. The Parramatta. Now, the key question is how do we come up with these Parmeter? How do we come up with the right parameter for the gold detector? Oh, right. So there's two ways to look at this one. There's two ways to look at this one. The traditional way, which is fine, but it has its limitations and is a more modern way, which I'm going to show you.

    OK, so traditionally,
