This book is unlike anything I've done before. This time I decided to have a little fun. We started with the question, what would a date night be like in Rogue Stone? How do the Warriors treat their women as the special people they are? What do the warriors do for a little extra fun?

Thus began this adventure.

Date # 1

A Cozy Night By The Fireplace

The day had been exhausting and Cassidy was ready to stretch out on her big cozy bed. She bid goodnight to her best friend and leaned against her bedchamber door. She sighed her relief as she picked herself up off the wooden frame and entered the calm. Her breath caught in her throat and she put one hand to her mouth to cover her gasp. Hawk stood near the fireplace, wearing only his pants, and resting a hip on the armchair. He had filled the room with candles and extra furs lay near the hearth.

Welcome home, Little one. His baritone voice murmured just enough to melt her insides. Damn the man was delicious without even trying.

She took two steps forward and snapped her fingers. The heavy iron latch on the door clanked shut and she breathed his name. It was all she could manage. She was frozen in place, unsure of what she wanted to do next.

He pushed off of the chair and crossed the room to her. You worked hard today, He rested his hands on her shoulders. Let me ease your aches and soothe your hurts. He bent to kiss her forehead. Then just below her ear another kiss before he nibbled on her earlobe. She let her head fall back and sighed. He knew exactly what she needed. He put one hand behind her head and pulled her face close to him to whisper. Let me slide my hands across your curves and caress you in all the right places.

She bit her bottom lip and nodded quickly. Hiding the smile that accompanied her thoughts was a bit harder. He wrapped his hand around the back of her head and she followed his lead to lay her head on his chest. His strong heartbeat called to her. She raised her hands to the warmth and rested them there. A deep breath pulled his masculine scent into her nose and turned her nipples to tiny rosebuds beneath her shirt. She closed her eyes and moaned. Gooseflesh covered her arms and she shivered. Gods, he knew just what to say. He hadn’t really even touched her and she was melting for him. He moved them closer to the fireplace, where the heat soothed her skin only to have his touch ignite it once more. His lips met hers and she let her eyes close as she wrapped her arms around his neck.

His hands held her body to him and slowly, gentle kisses and soft growls from him were all the sounds in the room as he laid her down on the soft furs.
