Author

Maura Rossi

Maura Rossi is a storyteller of erotic love. She writes about real people, real circumstances and real happenings. She fictionalizes and fantasizes about the outcomes and puts them to paper (digitally speaking of course). Maura loves cooking, dance, theater, music, all beaches, debating, and men. She would enjoy all those activities if she had the time. For now she writes and works two jobs. After a lifetime of following rules, Maura has decided to cut loose and explore a side of her that she didn't know existed. She only began reading romances in the last few years, never having been much of a fiction person. Her favorites have been historical stories set in the Highlands, with impossibly big Scotsmen, though she is now reading a bit from other sub genres. Sweet talking cowboys and Alpha-type werewolves lately! Too shy for an editor at this point. Loves the idea of anonymous feedback and fan driven changes. "Please give me lots of feedback. I welcome all comments and criticism. Enjoy and thanks."

    Dedicated to a Missionary Friend

    Chapter 1

He was beautiful. Broad shoulders, thick fingers, full lips, short cropped dark hair…like a movie star. He was wearing a white dress shirt, which made his tanned face and blue eyes stand out. The shirt along with the tie, dark suit pants and bible in hand let her know he was a missionary.

Normally she wouldn’t take such an extensive inventory of someone at her front door, but she was alone. Normally, there was a husband and kids around to keep eyes on any strangers at their front door. She lived in a nice neighborhood and if someone came to the door, they were usually invited. This was unusual. She considered not even answering the door, but he was really angelic looking. And a missionary after all!

She went to the front door and looked at him through the glass. On second glance, he did not appear to be as young as she originally thought. His body was muscled and built, like a man. Even his forearms, sticking out of his rolled up shirtsleeves were thick with muscle. Were bibles that heavy? But he had a beautiful boyish face. When he lifted his eyes to meet hers, she got tingly in places that had been asleep for quite a while.

Can I help you? She managed to squeak out.

Hi! Yes. I wanted to talk with you about the Good News… He lifted his bible to his shoulder with one hand, gestured toward the door handle with his other hand and smiled.

Lord, but he was good looking. His smile took her breath away. She started to feel a familiar flush warm her body.

What did you want to tell me? she said, making no move to open the door. She planned to talk through the glass, nice and safe. She could admire his beauty a bit longer without risking a stranger in the house.

His smile faltered a bit but he recovered.

Can I come in? What I have to say won’t take long, but its better if we sit together to talk about it. There was a dazzling flash of white teeth with a hopeful look in his eyes.

She slowly shook her head no.

Whatever you have to say, you can tell me through the door.

She was standing her ground. He wasn’t getting into the house.

His broad smile morphed into a sweet, sly grin. He dropped the bible to his side and took a step up to the glass door. He was very close to her now, the glass separating them. He stood almost a head above her. He looked down into her face.

I’m sorry, my name is Brad. He put his hand to his broad chest. I won’t hurt you. I just want to talk with you about Jesus’ love. I’m a good guy.

Her heart was near pounding. She couldn’t believe it, but she was unlocking the door and letting this total stranger, a man, into the house and she was alone. As he stepped in and brushed past her, she felt the heat of his body. He smelled like starch and soap, clean. The smell was intoxicating to her. It had been a long time since she
