"Sha la la Sha la la...

I am a two ponytailed girl...

No one is naughtier than me, in this world", she sang without breathing. Then she inhaled a long gust of air and then exhaled. She took the toothpaste, placed it on her brush and thought about that day’s interview. The chubby cheeks, S-shaped figure and the white coloured skin made her look like an angel born on earth.

That is when she heard a knock on the door. To prevent herself from getting a scolding from her mom, she said, Mom! I am taking a bath. I will be back in half an hour.

Sumetha’s mother Rani smiled at her daughter’s behaviour and went back to the room. After seeing the smiling face of Rani, Sumetha’s father Chandran said, Rani, Daydreaming doesn’t come true.

Looking at her smiley face, Chandran held her wife’s hand and asked, What happened?

Waking your daughter is the toughest thing I have to do daily., she sighed and went to the cupboard to take the dress for her husband.

The black eyelids became even blacker on applying the eyeliner. The fish-shaped eyes were highlighted by kajal. She left the hair freely. She took a long handbag and slung it on her shoulder. She then went down and shouted towards the kitchen, Mom...Mom...I am going to this interview.

Hey, your father said not to go there. Why are you doing this?, She scolded and came from the kitchen.

Mom...Don’t scare me., she said.

Your always positive father said something negatively. So don’t go, Metha.

Mister Chandran’s only one daughter...This Sumetha. I have the same positive thinking as him. So I am going. Bye!, Sumetha ran towards her car. As Rani can’t run like that, she stood and thought to herself, ‘He told her to not go.’ Rani went to the room and called Chandran. But he didn’t pick the call. She waited for him to call back.

Chapter - 2

She parked her car in the parking lot of the Praveer industry. The majestic 6 storey building surprised Sumetha. She pushed the glass door and entered the building.

Excuse me, where's the interview hall?, she asked the receptionist and looked around.

Over there...turn right and the second hall is where the interview takes place., the receptionist said with a smile.

She went to that hall and there were 10 contestants. She sat with them. Half an hour went by and she looked around with no thought. Soon her name was called.

Excuse me..., she asked and entered the room.

Take your seat. she sat down on hearing it.

The interviewer looked at her resume and then asked, Well...Tell me about yourself.

'Ah the same boring question.', she thought but said, I am Sumetha. I hate it when people lie to me. But I have lied a lot to my strict mom and went to the theatre. This hall looks kinda empty. A flower vase would be better. she shrugged her shoulder.

The interview moved his eyes away from the resume and looked at her. Mm... He said but then he forgot what to ask next after seeing her.

That interview hall was under surveillance. Their camera was an audio-video camera. The sound in the hall was also recorded. Not only that hall but every room in that building has CCTV. All can be seen through MD's laptop.

MD's laptop was showing everything happening in the interview hall. Joshid Praveer was in deep thought. But Sumetha's voice brought him back to reality.

Well...I have a question for you., Sumetha said to the interviewer. Interviewer forgot his duty and started talking normally. Her way of speaking was so attractive.

Even Joshid’s closed eyes opened and concentrated on the question. If someone asks you, ‘Are you on the bride side or groom side?’. What will be your side?

Mm...groom side?

If you are the relative of the bride, then you would say the bride side. Am I right?, Sumetha asked.

Yes...The answer to the question changes, depending on the situation., as soon as the interviewer said it, Sumetha went near his ear and said in a husky voice. A guy said he was on the bride's ex-husband side. That is how that marriage was stopped. Sumetha started laughing, which made the interviewer laugh along with her.

Joshid stood up with eyes still on the laptop. It was as if the god had granted him a wish from heaven. His eyes sparkled, his lips mumbled something and his heart pounded in love. With happiness, he ran towards the interview hall.

He was breathless when he opened the door of the interview hall. The interviewer stood up after seeing the MD. The MD signalled the interviewer to get out of the room.

Sumetha, who was laughing at the joke, was confused when the interviewer left in fear. She turned around and saw Joshid near the door. He closed the door and then came near her. He hugged her tightly.

The sudden hug shocked her. She gained her sense and tried to get out of the hug. But Joshid pulled her even tighter. It was like he wanted to bury her to his heart. Sumetha felt hard to breathe and so she with all her strength pushed him away.

Jaanu...Jaanu...Now I will say it...I love you. I love you truly and sincerely. I lost myself in these 3 months, without you. I have realized my love for you. Why did you leave me? Do you know I have searched you everywhere?, he said with a smile and hugged her again. Not only did he hug her, but he also started kissing her face with his rose coloured lips.

He wanted to switch off the light and lose himself on her. But Sumetha exploded with anger. She pushed him away and slapped him as hard as she could. But that guy replied, I love you...I love you...I love you.

Hey...You!. Sumetha rubbed over all the places touched by his lips in anger. 'Is he mental?', she scolded him in her mind.
