Zeljko Kalinic

Zeljko Kalinic was born in 1967 in Zadar. So far, he has written several novels: Morlach The Knight of St. Mark; Avenger; Good Man in Ten Seconds; Servon – Testimony of Bad Times; Hologram Stories; Thirsty Water; Royal Falcon Hunting; How The World Began; Pharaoh's Dream; Noah; Samson – The Coll of Sin; God and Man in a Hologram. Through all the books was dragged a little supernatural but connected them also, a fine thread that, regardless of the subject, action, historical moment, or characters, identifies and separates good from evil to encourage men to begin their 'correction,’ the separation of good from sin, truth from falsehood, identification and separation of right from wrong ... Books are full of colorful characters embedded in turbulent historical moments and interesting and exciting events, which are forced to move constantly and actions full of uncertainty. Make-believe or real mysteries, which the actors occasionally wrapped, impose their questions about the reality in which we live. The characters' psychological profiles, actions, reactions, and general behavior reveal the human weakness that should work. Each of these books from the reader requires a journey through the book’s interior, through the events described in the interior. What was expected to be found there let her remain a personal secret. The intention is that each person starts internal wind, at least one good 'Buru,’ and to dispel the dirty fog that hung over from a good depopulated valley of our mind.

The Book of Purpose Christian Thoughts - Zeljko Kalinic

    CHAPTER 1

    1. LOOK FORWARD WITH hope, look back with gratitude, look up with prayer, look down with repentance, look inward with attention! And around - with love! When you look at the world with love, you realize that life is impossible not to love.

    2. As the circumstances have been arranged, so should we live because the circumstances around us are not set just by chance, as many of our contemporary sages think, but everything with us is done by the Providence of God, constantly taking care of our spiritual salvation.

    3. Our whole life is God's great mystery. No matter how insignificant they may seem, all life circumstances are of great importance.

    4. You cannot ask a fly to do the work of a bee - each man must be given according to his measure. It can't be the same for everyone.

    5. God is spirit, unlimited, unchanging, unattainable, eternal, beginning less and endless. God is holy, perfect, true, free, all-wise, all-powerful, all-merciful, omnipresent, all-knowing, and self-sufficient. God is also much more we cannot express or understand.

    6. Lord God, the inexhaustible and only source of power, endow me, who is weak, with more power so that I can serve you more. And give me wisdom, God, so I will not use the given power for evil but for the good of myself and my neighbors and your great glory. Amen.

    7. All-wise, all-knowing Lord God, endow me, little-wise, with more of your living wisdom so that I can serve you more. And guide me, Lord, so that I do not use the knowledge given to me for evil, but for the good of myself and my loved ones and your great glory. Amen.

    8. All-good, all-merciful God, endow me, an evil one, with more of your goodness so that I may rejoice and shine from your goodness and serve you better. Lead me and keep me, Lord, so that I would not direct my goodness to evil but to the happiness, joy, and illumination of myself and all your creatures with whom I live in the neighborhood. Amen.

    9. Lord God, you can have infinite creatures, but your creatures cannot have more than you as their only God. Dear God, dispel all my ugly thoughts and dreams about other gods like a strong wind dispels a poisonous swarm of flies. Cleanse my soul, enlighten it, expand it, God, and you alone dwell in it like a king in your palace. That will lift me up, strengthen me, civilize me, repair me, and refresh me. Glory and praise to you, the only true God, who rises above all false deities like a high mountain above the shadows in the pond. Amen.

    Chapter 2

10 . If you are serving the same God today as you served yesterday, what kind of good have you made for yourself? Can God be frozen and defined? Does He get older with each day? Does He eventually become a relic of the past, then? Where there is love and where there is awe, each day brings a discovery of wonder.

    11. If you see something that is broken, fix it. If you cannot fix all of it, set some of it. But do not say there is nothing you can do. Because if that were true, why would this broken thing have come into your world?

    12. There are body killers and soul killers. Soul killers are those who kill human souls by corrupting them and separating them from God since they are wholly corrupt and ungodly.

    13. Darkness, confusion, and the possibility of evil—all this then has a purpose of its own: It provides a stage for us to find God within ourselves when we make the right choice, all on our own.

    14. The poor in spirit are those who consider themselves very small in comparison with the greatness of God and who long to become rich in God and his kingdom.

    15. Wherever light radiates, it does not find darkness. For light, darkness does not exist. Wherever darkness spreads, it does not see light. For darkness, light does not exist. In a time yet to come, the two shall meet and know one another in perfect union. Let us now turn our attention to the man. A breath of the divine within a material body, light and darkness face-to-face within a single being.

    16. Evil is a terrorist, nursed on every spoonful of worry, encouraged with every glance of trepidation, fortified with every concession we make from our lives to acknowledge its threat—until it has soaked from us sufficient energy to rise brazenly and attack us with our own instruments. So, it is with the evil in the world and the destructive forces within each of us: When we stoop to conquer the evil within ourselves, we end up rolling with it in its mud. To truly banish evil, you must march on the clouds and never look down. You must climb higher until you attain a place of light that leaves no crevice for evil to hide.

    17. Your soul, a pure child of God, a fractal of the very essence of wisdom, a breath of life from the innermost source of life, will descend from its place, lower and yet lower, to clothe itself in a body, blood, and sinews driven by a beast within. It will tie its destiny to theirs.

    18. When you look at a human being, you see his hands working, his feet walking, his mouth talking. You don't see his heart, brain, lungs, and kidneys. They work quietly inside. But they are the essential organs of life.

    19. The world, too, has hands and feet—those who are making the news, moving things around, shaking things up. The heart, the inner organs, are those who work quietly from the inside, unnoticed, and do a simple act of kindness with no thought of reward.

    Chapter 3

20 . Sincerity is not enough. You have to do the right thing. You might be truly sincere about your generosity, but if it doesn't reach the right place or is not done the right way, it still does not succeed.

    21. Those who cry in this transitory world are like the Son of God, who never laughed but very often wept because of human misunderstanding, sins, and suffering.

    22. What is your job in this world? It is to be real. Act real, mean what you say, think and really be thinking, talk to God, and let the words flow from your heart. Every cell of your body, down to your fingernails, should be real.

    23. Whatever knowledge a human being is given in this world, whatever wisdom, enlightenment, or inspiration, it is all only and exclusively for one purpose: To assist God in fixing up this world.

    24. Every time is filled with mothers and fathers, tears, pain, sacrifices, love, faith, and hope in God. That is why every time is worthy of respect.

    25. If a man devotes all his thoughts and all his heart to
