Stop & Listen - Pastor Emile Stephen

    OVERVIEW

For as long as man has been confronted with madness, he has sought to explain it. In fact scientists in the last few decades have been trying to understand and investigate human in the laboratory. People everywhere fight to strive for greater freedom from madness, at the same time, they fight the law of God and that produces a dangerous misunderstanding of the true nature of God and the need for the righteous law of God. The fact is, without the law of God there is no real freedom and the world will only produce intellectual barbarians.

What is your attitude toward God’s law?

    CHAPTER 1

God is trying save the world! The problem is you. Among people who believe in God it is commonly believed that God is desperately trying to save the world and so by using parables and other desperate measures. No wonder David wrote in psalm 23:4: Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me. It is the expression and the expectation of an authentic faith. Even though God is with us, we are not exempt from some dark, deadly and shadowed places on this planet.

This shadow of death exists in our world and Christians have seen it first that world is falling apart; going the problem is many church folks refuse to acknowledge that this valley exist. In my previous book: final warning I mentioned that Christians have lost power and more likely you, too are spiritually powerless for troubles without number surround you. Your sins have overtaken you, and you cannot find your way out so much that your heart fails within you.

David told God you know my condition it is not pretty. Almost everyone wants to change in some ways—To become a better person—to become less lonely and depressed—to become more assertive and making new friends—to become a better lover and to be loved. The fact other that you are curious about other people’s problems; absorbed in their love stories may be the signs that something is missing. My guest: you want to change, at off moments you brood about your life, poke at it like a sore thumb, you may not be in agony, but then again what is pain. God is talking to you. He is trying to get your attention—you hear but you do not listen, somehow hoping that it will get better; but like decaying teeth, lives that ache usually get worse unless something is done. Slimy pits exist in our world just as dark valleys and just as surely as believers must pass through dark valleys, so they occasionally fall into mud and needing rescue, cleansing and comfort.

David never fails to tell it all of a fallible humanity that a loving and powerful God through whom we can get through the shadowed valleys. God wants us to live again but we need to examine ourselves or keep puddle jumping from one hectic crisis to another. It is up to all of us, which is outrageous, certainly there is a whole different way to go to whatever we have got going for or against us is just a variation on the same theme to which everyone dances. Perhaps you have gone as far enough to realize why you were born—You have learned God’s great purpose has been turned into a license to sin. You may see today all nations are spiritually drunk on the false pagan ideologies of the modern spiritual "Babylon, deceived and the truth has been turned upside down.

Even the churches are deceived and have been turned away from the truth, embracing fables and lyrics. You may have come to see how evil and pagan this world has become and to be disgusted with its ways.

Isaiah55:7 states: Let the wicked forsake his ways, and the unrighteous man his thoughts. We must either deny our vulnerability or deal with the consequences; that is the black and white of life, nonetheless reality can hurt.

It is up to you. What is man that you make so much of him, that you give so much attention, that you examine him every morning and test every moment?

Has anything ever happened to you? Have you neglected God and allowed the disease spiritual laxness to spread into your life? Have you, perhaps after getting off to a strong start, slowed way down—or maybe come to a complete stop? If so, then take heed and learn from the unhappy lesson whose first works were much greater than the last. For Asa, it didn’t have to end that way—and neither does it for you. Like Asa, who could have repented-but he did not—but you can turn back to God, even at the very end of your life, and finish the race the way you started.

Asa put God first, and above his own personal wants and desires-even head of his own parents. He abolished all the idols that his father made and kicked his evil mother off the throne. The Bible describes his early days’reign as ten years as quiet (2chronicles14:1): What a peace that God provides when we diligently work to remove idolatry and sexual perversion from our environment.

King Asa wisely used these peaceful, prosperous years to plan for the future. He worked doubly hard fortifying Judah’s cities and was careful not to forget God. Then when trouble came and incomprehensibly large, million-man army—Asa trusted in God, crying out for deliverance and God answered by smiting the Ethiopian army before all Judah.

Soon after Asa became distressed by a provocative act, Israel’s army was right at Judah’s doorstep. In his mind, this was an act of war. How would this righteous king respond? Incredibly, after a long history of walking by faith and trusting God; king Asa gathered a large store of treasure from God’s house in order to finance a shady military alliance with Syria. Instead of looking to God, he paid a gentile king to get rid of the problem.

At first, this unholy alliance seemed to work out: Syria invaded Israel, overthrew numerous cities, and forced Israel to evacuate its military stronghold. Ramah fell back into Judah’s had again. But these seemingly fortuitous events actually marked the beginning of a tragic end for a king who had devoted most of his life faithfully serving God.

    CHAPTER 2

    War against Christianity

    Psalm 2

We can turn on our television set or get on the grounds of ay public schools to see how hard that we are trying to throw God out of our public school system. Like a conspiracy to remove God out of man’s affair-Big mistake.

Please read on: why do the nations rage and the people plot a vain thing. The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the Lord and against His saints-Let us break their bonds in pieces and cast away their cords from us. He who sits in the heavens shall laugh—the Lord shall hold them in derision.

Beloved, listen the more valuable you are to God expect Satan to focus his attack on you and is very busy directing on his primary focus: you but you have good news that is found in James 4:7: Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. That is a powerful prescription for our today’s world. David summed it up even better that it is a war against Christianity describing a generation with the leadership of the world rising against Christianity and the Jewish people especially against the state of Israel. To hear the president of the United States the Catholic Church and endorsing the perverted sexual relationship of men with men and the lesbo movement is a direct attack on God.

We do need to rise up and fight back and hard—Why is this heaten’s rage? Rage is a violent word toward God and his people, contrary to the godly men mentioned in psalm 1 who meditate on the word night and day, but the wicked imagine and meditate on destroying everything that God loves, plot and plan on how to overthrow God’s government. Second Timothy 3:1: the kings of the earth set themselves to take a bold stand against and step against God’s law; but know, this that in the last days, perilous times will come.

Our forefathers who came to this country were persecuted very often in the countries they left and usually for their religious beliefs; both in Virginia and New England to the north, the colonists were determined, God-fearing men. Mr Johnson wrote: Often in search of a religious toleration denied them at home, who brought their families and were anxious to farm and establish permanent settlements. They put political and religious freedom before riches—Thus took shape the economic dynamo that eventually became the United States of America, an experiment designed to establish the rule of God on earth. What a driven purpose! They planned to establish the rule of God on earth so each person would come to know His commandments. Today too many Christians refuse to face reality and are looking the other way.

Considering some statements from our forefathers: In his first inaugural, George Washington said: the foundation of our national policy will be laid in the pure and immutable principles of private morality, in his farewell address, he said: Of all the dispositions and habits which lead to political prosperity, religion and morality are indispensable supports. In fact, without religion and morality, Washington knew the American experiment doomed to fail.

John Adams backed him up: statement may plan and speculate for liberty, but is religion and morality alone which can establish the principles upon which freedom can securely stand. Religion and morality are firmly rooted in divine law, contrary to today’s politicians, they take the words of our forefathers very lightly and very seldom in election’s time; they are too arrogant and too vain to see how profoundly strong they were and how
