    Prayer

Lord Jesus, thank you for your blessings. As quail fell in the camp of Israel, let the blessings of my Father Fall on me.

As the waters of Marah become sweet in the days of Moses, let my financial situation go from bitterness to sweetness in the name of Jesus. I declare that I shall never be forsaken neither my children will beg bread. As a child of God, I have been given all things that pertain to life and godliness. Father of blessings, command your blessings upon me, and let my children grow up as stallions in a stall. Oh God, as you blessed the house of Obededom, so bless my house, in the name of Jesus.

Oh God of the universe, as you increased Solomon so increase me in the land of the land of the living, in the name of Jesus.

Though the Holy Spirit I shall experience the blessings of Christ upon my life.

    In Jesus Name,

    Amen.

    Lamentations 5:1FF

At a time of grief, the true believers should turn to God in prayer. Jeremiah prayed for mercy for his people. But God would not stay angry with them forever.

    Micah 7:18

You will not stay angry with your people forever, because you delight in showing unfailing love.

    Lamentations 5:14

As Jeremiah prayed, he saw fewer and fewer evidences of either the healthy interaction or the lighthearted dancing of their former lives under God’s blessing. A lack of continual gratefulness to God often indicates that we are taking the goodness of life for granted. Every material goal they had lived for collapsed. God turned away from them because of their sin, he did not abandon – them that was their great hope. Our grief should turn us toward him, not away from him.

Despite their sinful past, God would restore them if they returned to him. Hope is found only in the Lord.

    Psalm 66:18

Our confession of sin must be continual because we continue to do wrong. But true confession requires us to listen to God and to want to stop doing what is wrong. David confessed his sin and prayed, "Cleanse me from these hidden faults. Keep your servant from deliberate sins (19:12, 13). When we refuse to repent or when we harbor and cherish certain sins, we place a wall between us and God. We may not be able to remember every sin we have ever committed, but our attitude should be one of confession and obedience.

    Matthew 28:18-20

When Jesus commanded that the gospel be taken to all nations. Count yourself among that great crowd of believers worldwide who know the Savior; praise him for Good News; and share that gospel so that the harvest will be abundant.

    1 Samuel 17:48-49

What made David effective, however, was more than his ability with a sling - it was his courage and in faith in God. To fight like David we need David’s kind of fearlessness.

    1 Samuel 17:34-37

When you face towering problems, recall how God has helped you in the past. Take heart because God gives you strength. Use the skills God has already given you and move forward.

    Samuel 18:8

In a jealous, Saul attempted to murder David by hurling his spear at him.

    18:11, 12

Jealousy may not seem to be a major sin, but in reality, it is one step short of murder. Jealousy starts as you resent a rival; it leads to your wishing he or she were removed; then it manifests itself in your seeking ways to harm that person in word or action. Beware of letting jealousy get a foothold in your life.

    Matthew 15:44

But I say, love your enemies. Pray for those who persecute you. And ask God for the strength to continue to love them, as David kept on loving Saul.

    Job 21:29-33

If wicked people become wealthy despite their sin, why should we try to be good?

The wicked may seen to get away with sin, but there is a higher judge and a future judgement

    Job 22:1FF

Eliphaz wasn’t trying to destroy Job, at the end of his speech he promised that Job would receive peace and restoration if he would only admit his sin and repent.

    Job 22:12-14

If Job knew of God’s intense, personal interest in him," Eliphaz said, he wouldn’t dare take his sin so lightly. Eliphaz had a point – some people do take sin lightly because they think God is far away and doesn’t notice all we do. But this point did not apply to Job.

    Roams 5:1; 8:1

We are always likely to have hidden sin in our lives, sin we don’t even know about because God’s standards are so high and our performance is so imperfect.

    1 John 3:20

His forgiveness and cleansing are sufficient; they overrule our nagging doubts.

    Job 8:1

The Holy Spirit in us is our proof that we are forgiven in God’s eyes even though we may feel guilty. If God has forgiven and accepted us, we are forgiven indeed.

    Daniel 12:1

Great suffering is in store for God’s people throughout the years ahead.

    Jeremiah 30:7

In all history there has never been such a time of terror. It will be a time of trouble for my people Israel.* Yet in the end they will be saved!

    Matthew 24:21FF

For there will be greater anguish than at any time since the world began. And it will never be so great again. Yet the great suffering is tempered by a great promise of hope for true believers.

    Job 19:25, 26

But as for me, I know that my Redeemer lives, and he will stand upon the earth at last.

    Job 19:26

Job said: In my body I will see God. In Job’s situation it seemed unlikely to him that he would in his body see God. And that’s just the point of Job’s faith! He was confident that God’s justice would triumph, even if it would take a miracle like resurrection to accomplish this.

    Job 20:6, 7

Zophar was wrong in directing this tirade against Job, he was correct in talking about the final end of evil people. At first, sin seems enjoyable and attractive. Lying, stealing, or oppressing others often brings temporary gain to those who practice these sins. God’s judgement on them is certain.

    Ezra 8:15

Ezra’s progress back to Jerusalem was halted while he waited to recruit Levites. God had called these men to a special service, and yet few were willing to volunteer when their services were needed.

    Roams 12:4-8

Don’t wait to be recruited, but look for opportunities to volunteer. Don’t hinder God’s work by holding back.

    1 Peter 4:10

God has given each of you a gift from his great variety of spiritual gifts. Use them well to serve one another.

    Ezra 8:21-23

When we take time to put God first in any endeavor, we are preparing well for whatever lies ahead.

    Ezra 8:23

Ezra they humble theirself pray and fasting.

And their prayers was answered. Fasting humbled them because going without food was a reminder of their complete dependence on God. Fasting also give them more time to pray and meditate on God.

    Ezra 8:28, 29

Stewardship means taking special care of whatever God has entrusted to you. This means considering what God has given to you as being from him and for his use. What has God entrusted to your care?

    Chronicles 20:37

Before entering into partnerships ask (1) What are my motives? (2) What problems and I avoiding by seeking this partnership? (3) Is this partnership the best solution, or is it only a quick solution to my problem? (4) Have I prayed or asked others to pray for guidance? (5) Are my partner and I really working toward the same goals? (6) Am I willing to settle for less financial gain in order to do what Gods wants?

    Chronicles 21:8-11

Jehoram’s reign was marked by sin and cruelty.

    21:18, 19

Punishment for sin is not always immediate or dramatic. But if we ignore God’s laws, we will eventually suffer the consequences of our sin.

    22:4, 5

It is wise to seek advice, we must
