in their life. Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I dedicated you. God is the provision of all our needs, and he designed this loving plan for your life, and for fulfillment of our maximum benefit, joy, peace, and happiness. God longs for you to know his purpose and to discover the life he created, for you to live. I pray that you learn to rest in God’s love and provision; that you demonstrate diligence, sharing, integrity, compassionate, discipline, and accountability in cultivating, and utilize grace resources God provides. I am grateful to those people, who have shaped my life and helped me learn these truths. I thank God and you, for the privilege of sharing them with you.
Introduction
In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. God created Adam and Eve, and provided everything, for them to live in perfect harmony with God. Because of their disobedience, sin entered into the world, and because of sin, mankind was separated from God. Mankind is not as self-sufficient as many would like to believe, it is extremely dependent on many things, despite our denials. When we first come into this world, we are extremely dependent on our parents and others to feed and clean us. As we get older, it is common to believe that we no longer need anyone, but God. God provides everything we need, from the little things to the bigger things such as Spirit-based living and freedom from sin. My God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. (Phi. 4:19) The obvious premise is we all have needs. If we didn’t have needs, why would God promise to meet them? When we accept Christ as our personal savior, God promises eternal life. We trust God’s promises, and receive him willingly. He promise to take care of us, and God can help us to keep the promises we take. There are many things we think we need in life, but a true need in God’s eye is things that are essential for fulfilling his purposes, and in making us more of spiritually healthy in our lives. God is pure and holy and cannot be joined together with sin. God is our creator, our redeemer, and our provider that promised to sustain us—meet all our physical and spiritual needs. For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse.
(Rom. 1:20) Creation itself tells us something about God. The good news is that, God wants you to spend eternity in heaven with him. Two thousand years ago, God sent his son Jesus Christ to come to this earth and die on the cross to pay the penalty for your sin. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
(Joh. 3:16) God is our provider; he freely gives us all things through his beloved Son, Jesus Christ. Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.
(Heb. 4:16)
There is nobody in this world that is not in need of one thing or the other. It may be material need, it may be a mental need, or spiritual need, but it’s a need of some kind. The need that there has been to meet our sinfulness, and our guilt, before God has been utterly completed and the final redemption has been met for us in the person of our Lord Jesus Christ.
When we are doing the will of God, we have the right to expect the provision of God. God is obligated to support Christian’s work if it is done in his way. As you progress in the journey through life, you become more experienced and mature, in the way you see things and the way you handle things. We are subject to testing, trials, temptations, but we still need God’s divine direction, wisdom, and guidance to spiritual strength, that encourages and gives us hope to live the truly abundant life. We need to hear the voice of God on daily bases in our lives, especially when you are going through tough times and challenges of life. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction.
(Pro. 1:7)
The Christian can live productive life without the benefit of much wealth. Even the richest ones on the earth will not have peace, joy, and security, for long if they lack godly wisdom and discipline. So why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
(Mat. 6:28-30, 33) The Scripture never commands us to pursue wealth.
The scripture offers far more help and instructions for daily life. Financial blessings come from God. God requires us to seek him with all our hearts; to lay down the strength of our souls, to enable us to successfully resist the devil, and really break the chains of sin, and secure, so great a treasure as eternal life. To seek the kingdom of God is to actively receive the eternal life that Jesus Christ brought to us. As we set our affection on things above, instead of things on this earth, God will give us wisdom to discern the idols in our own hearts.
In the last one hundred years, we’ve had two world wars and countless smaller ones in various nations. As individuals, we could do something about global economic and political crisis, but we failed to correct most of these problems. History tells us that most human beings are subject to power hungry, pride, and greedy. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge. To manger our personal affairs effectively, requires us to have personal relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. We need to welcome him into our lives and receive him, as our personal Lord and Savior. In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him.
(1Jo. 4:9)
Jesus Christ was energizing from the future that came to earth, to bring illumination and knowledge to humanity. God has proven himself faithful in Jesus Christ. God exist to serve. His power is always used in love. We shall respond to God through worshiping, awe at his glory, praise his work, and respect his power, repentance in his presence, perfection and obedience to his authority, and reverence to his holiness. We have to choose to live in the world inside God’s world. The words of God promise eternal life, salvation, righteousness, redemption, deliverance, protection, prosperity, healing, and wholeness of spirit, soul, and body.
Many people are living with emotional and physical ailments, bondages, because they are not standing up on the inside. We need to read his instruction manual called the Bible—applying it to our lives; that will enables us take hold of the blessing of God and know his will for us. The purpose of the Bible is not to inform, but to transform and the knowledge gained must be put in your life, for the Holy Spirit can use it to make you more like Jesus Christ. Whatever you let into your heart in abundance will determine the kind of person you really are. It is out of the abundance or the overflow of the heart that the mouth speaks. If you respect the power of your words enough to carefully guard what you say, you will enjoy the fruit of your harvest. Death and life are in the power of the tongue. We can create a world with no limit or lack if we let the word of God create it. You would not change by simply trying harder. Only God can actually change you into the person you really want to be. Transformation and sanctification process is done through the Holy Spirit; and it is accomplished by the renewing of our mind and developing right thinking. God’s greatest gift to us is his beloved Son Jesus Christ, and also he has created us as one with him. We are not separated, but all joined as one. The best gift we can give to any child is to make that child feel loved, wanted, and cared for; children are blessings and greatest gift of God. I believe in God all things are possible and I believe every child can be successful if they lean not on their own understanding, but trusting in God with all their heart. Developing and building our faith is very important. Many of the people in the Bible who are singled out for their faith were people of action. We should humble ourselves, learn to rest in God’s love and provision for us, put off our worries, seek his face, turn from our wicked ways, depend upon what Jesus has done for us; we can have eternal life too! Remember our salvation is based upon a promise. We should allow God to dig deep and to reveal to us, areas in our life and relationship with him that needs transformation of our and deepen our dependency on God’s ability to provide all our needs. God is the source of every good thing—fill our lives with your goodness in abundance. Let there be no lack in our lives. Bless us and make us a blessing!
Part 1
God is Our Provision
God’s Promise to Meet all Our Needs
God promises to meet all the needs,
not necessarily all their wants.
We must understand the difference between our wants and our needs. Want means to feel a need or a desire, for always wanting something new.
Need means necessity or obligation created by some situation. A need is a true deficiency, shortage of lack of something important in our lives. God will always give us desires of our heart within the parameters of what our needs are, which is essential to fulfilling his purposes. Most people may want to feel good and avoid discomfort. We may not get all that we want. By trusting in Jesus Christ, our attitudes can change from wanting everything to accepting his provision, and the power to live for him. God’s kindness is given to us through Christ, and can be enjoyed by those who are connected with him.
One of the problems of our hearts is we consistently misjudge what we need. The Bible is full of stories of people that are not realizing what their true needs are, and yet God lovingly provide them at timely manner: Eve was convinced, at Garden of Eden that she needed the fruit and what it could give. Unfortunately, all her descendants have inherited her sin. Joseph spent years in a prison, weathering how to come out from the prison; we know that Joseph actually needed to stay in that prison until Pharaoh brings him out of the prison. When a woman of Samaria came to draw water, she thought that she needed only a bucket of water; and Jesus showed her the real need of her heart. When we look to God as our provider whether spiritually, physically, or emotionally there are no limitations. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Nevertheless, you have done well that you shared in my distress. Now you Philippians know also that in the beginning of the gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, no church shared with me—concerning, giving, and receiving, but you only. For even in Thessalonica you sent aid once and again, for my necessities. Not that I seek the gift, but I seek the fruit that abounds to your account. Indeed I have all and abound. I am full, having received from Epaphroditus the things, which were sent from you, a sweet-smelling aroma, an acceptable sacrifice, well pleasing to God. And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
(Phi. 4:13-19) God guarantees to take care of us and meet our need, and we have nothing to worry about. We are God’s children, the people of his covenant of grace. As the Israel of God, we are blessed and cannot be cured. As Jesus Christ said, Give and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.
(Luk. 6:38)
We understand that it by grace that we are saved and by the power of God made available to us meets all our needs. For by grace you have been saved through faith and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God.
(Eph. 2:8) Everything we receive from God came as result of grace through our faith. We have develop and built our faith on the ground of grace, because faith comes by grace as God’s gift. Everything we do depends on God’s grace and willingness to use his power to meet all our needs. We do recognize and admire some of our fellow human beings, who are considered to be great thinkers, great inventors, great scientists, and great achievers in every field of endeavor. Nevertheless, they still have the same needs that we do. God knows what our needs are and those things we desire for ourselves and our families. Our heavenly Father is only God that will meet all our needs in all areas of lives. We must love and forgive one another. God is not obligated to meet our needs if we’re not obeying his commands. We block the flow of God’s blessings by being stingy. If you let the truth of giving
grasp you, your life will be revolutionized. God promise that he will provide for our needs, the spirit of giving brings joy. God personally knows our needs before we ask. We should develop good relationship with God and also good relationship with one another. God’s purpose in meeting our needs is essential for our well-being. God will not bless you and keep you well unless you call him my God,
serving, and worshiping him all the days of your life. Now godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. And having food and clothing, with these we shall be content.
(1Ti. 6: 6-8) We need to learn how to be content in all circumstances and dependence on God to supply all our needs. Without Christ we can do nothing, but with him we can do all things. King David declared, Oh God, You are my God; early will I seek You; my soul thirsts for You; my flesh longs for You in a dry and thirsty land where there is no water. Because Your loving-kindness is better than life, my lips shall praise You.
(Psa. 63:1, 3) God sets the solitary in families; He brings out those who are bound into prosperity; but the rebellious dwell in a dry land.
(Psa. 68:6) When you seek the Lord, He shall provide everything, bless you, build your family and there shall be no lack in your life. Lord, You have been our dwelling place in all generations.
(Psa. 90:1) We need a place to live, rest, to
