About this ebook

After months of silence, an ex-girlfriend contacts Russel at the end his freshman semester. She claims she needs a ride home for the holidays, but when she starts bringing up their prior history of risky sex in public places, he realizes she may have an ulterior motive, and the road trip veers off track.

WARNING! This short story contains graphic depictions of explicit sex between consenting adults. It is intended only for mature readers of legal age. Here is an excerpt. . .

When Tina texted I desperately need a ride, I took her quite literally, not realizing there was something deeper and kinky lurking in those words. Tina and I used to be a secret couple in high school. Only, we got accepted to different universities, and we decided that we didn’t want to try a long distance relationship. In retrospect, that was a little on the silly side. We both come from Ashland, Kentucky. I ended up going to school in Morgantown, West Virginia. She went to Fairmont. Let’s be real; that’s just a 15 minute highway ride away one way.

I could have made it work if I wanted to. Tina couldn’t drive due to a DUI when she was 17, and the criminal charge went away when she turned 18. That was right at the end of summer before our freshman year started. The DMV revoked her license for two years after an administrative hearing, and that still stood – on account of high her blood alcohol level was. No driving for Tina, basically. At the end of our university freshman semester, she texted me after months of silence. Basically, she needed a ride home for Christmas, and we shared a hometown. It made sense. Or, so I thought. Only, the drive ended up being weird – but in a wonderful way.

When I picked her up at her dorm, she slung a backpack into the trunk with my stuff and climbed into the shotgun seat. For some reason, she put her phone in the backseat. For the first hour or so on the road, she let her black bangs hang over her face and spent most of her time on her cell phone. Finally, once we did engage, it was mostly small talk. I didn’t ask about her family, and she didn’t ask about mine. Our folks just straight up don’t like each other, and it’s been that way for at least four generations. Don’t get me wrong; this isn’t violent Hatfield and McCoy bullshit. It’s just a mutual dislike. I think it’s mostly because my great grandfather was a coal mining union boss, and hers was an enforcer for the company. The literally beat the snot out of each other quite often. Tina’s father treated her like a princess and regarded me as a descendant of scum, villainy, and communists. This could have been one of the reasons we just quietly drifted apart in such a short amount of time. Hiding a relationship from your parents just fucking sucked. It involved a lot sneaking around and having sex in risky places. The small talk ended abruptly when she asked me a question that seemingly came out of nowhere.

“Russ,” she looked at me intently She let the moment linger a bit. “Do you remember how we celebrated my eighteenth?”

I kept my eyes ahead on the road. The sun was setting and there was likely At least another four hours of road time ahead of us. I didn’t want to answer, and now I was trying to shorten the trip by driving over the speed limit. “Of course I do.”

“How did we do it?”

“Can we not talk about this?”

She flashed a devilish smile. “As I remember it, we were on hall passes. You were out of your science class, and I was out of math. Literally, I dragged you into a janitorial closet ...
