About this ebook
How did you make that? Can I have the recipe? If you've ever said that to a friend or family member you will enjoy Recipes
They Sent, Round Two because all of the recipes in the book are from real cooks who prepared the entrees or desserts or soups/salads in their real kitchens. The recipes vary from sppetizers like Spinach Puffs and Blue Cheese Veggie Dips to entrees like Mexican Pizza and Healthy soup to decadent desserts like doble chocolate eclairs and Oreo Lasagna. There is a special section on diet foods and another on recipes to use in an air fryer..Every recipe is followed by a short quotation or saying. You will laugh when you read "Food is like duct tape; it fixes everything" and "The best things in life are free; that does not apply to pizza" and "Three ways to my heart, ,make me food, buy me food, be food." The last chapter contains cooking tips, again from real cooks. "You can make great baked potatoes in a crock pot, be sure to score them first" and "place a wooden spoon over a pot of boiling water to keep the water from boiling over" and many more.

Recipes They Sent, Round Two - Barbara Fox
INTRODUCTION
Mitchell Ball and Barbara Fox collected recipes from friends and family for Recipes they Sent, Round Two. They have not all been tested or tried by them but the contributors guarantee that, for the most part, the recipes are accurate and more important, delicious and easy to prepare.
Four years ago Barbara and Mitchell compiled, Recipes They Sent
It was a big success so this year they decided to do a sequel, Recipes They Sent, Round Two is the result.
PART I
APPETIZERS, SAUCES AND DIPS
Potatoes Hashed In Cream
Steve, Port St Lucie FL
This is my wife’s favorite recipe. It’s her go-to for potlucks. Then, when company comes it’s super easy and there never seems to be any leftovers.
Use one medium potato per person.
Cook potatoes in salted water with skins on.
Refrigerate until very cold (overnight is best). Peel the potatoes.
The recipe says to chop the potatoes very finely with a food chopper.
My wife uses the large slots on a grater. The finer you chop or grate, the better.
Spread in a flat baking dish sprayed with cooking oil . (8x8 works for 2-4 people.) Salt and pepper to taste.
Pour ½ and ½ cream over them just until covered.
(1 pint is usually enough for 2 people)
Dot with butter (about 1 ½ Tbsp)
and sprinkle the top with bread crumbs or crispy fried onions.
(We always use the onions)
Bake in 300 degree oven for 1 hour.
For a change of pace, you can use milk or cream of mushroom or celery soup instead of ½ and ½ but we prefer the ½ and ½.
You can also add some finely chopped onion.
You can’t live a full life on an empty stomach.
SWEET AND SOUR MEATBALLS
Ralph, Tampa, Fl
Easy convenient, dinner or hors d’oeuvres
1 pound hamburger
1/4 cup breadcrumbs
1 small onion
1 egg
1 teaspoon salt, pepper, and garlic
2 teaspoons lemon juice
Mix and make meatballs
Sauce
1 small bottle of ketchup
1 small jar grape jelly
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 small onion diced
Mix and pour over meatballs
Bake at 325 for 1 hour in covered casserole dish.
"I cook with wine.
Sometimes I even add it to the food!"
MUSHROOM TOASTS
Barbara, Hollywood, Fl
This recipe probably sounds unbelievably terrible but if you can get past that and try them you will be amazed at how scrumptious they are.
One loaf of plain white bread
One can of cream of mushroom soup
One stick of butter or margarine
Melt butter or margarine on cookie sheet
