Hi, I am George, a Hungarian IT engineer with a passion for the English language. I started writing English books many years ago when I relocated to the vibrant city of Kuala Lumpur. Living in that big city entire of different languages and cultures made me curious about English idioms. All my books and videos are the result of my learning journey. I have a strong IT background, so my technical precision helped me make these books accurate and easy to understand. I have made sure that the idioms in the books are simple and fun to learn, especially for those who are new to English. These books are more than just about idioms; they're about enjoying and discovering the beauty of the English language through my own experiences. Since I'm not a native English speaker, there might be some mistakes in these books. But remember, making mistakes is part of learning, and together, we'll improve and explore the English language in a fun way!

Preface
In the cosy kitchen of my childhood, nestled in the heart of Hungary, my love for cooking was kindled by the gentle hands of my grandmother and the sweet, comforting aroma of bejgli. With its spiral of poppy seed or walnut filling, this traditional Hungarian pastry was a Christmas treat, a symbol of the festive spirit. Like every child, I eagerly awaited the moment when I could dip my fingers into the leftover fillings. These moments instilled in me the passion for cooking.
Years later, life's journey took me far from my home country. I discovered a world rich in culinary diversity, where every nation had its unique Christmas cookie, each with its story, tradition, and taste. It was fascinating, and I realized, no matter where we are, the love for shared flavours and the joy of festive baking are universal.
This book is a collection of recipes showcasing Europe's rich and diverse baking traditions. It contains 20 unique Christmas cookie recipes from different countries, offering a taste of the continent's festive spirit. While you try each recipe, think about the different countries and people who have been making these cookies for many years.
Recipes, like stories, change with time. They adapt to the hands that make them. Even my favourite bejgli has countless versions. If the recipes in this book don't mirror the ones you know, embrace the difference. After all, these variations make the culinary world so rich and exciting.
I invite you to join me in celebrating diversity, tradition, and the simple joy of a well-made cookie. Let's bake, share, and create new memories, bridging distances with the universal language of food. Welcome to a world of festive flavours!
