About this ebook

The Path to the Growing Forward Experience is a unique presentation of real-life storytelling, facts, and a guide to one of the infinite possible ways to heal yourself and align on multi-healing processes. It has been acquired through my life experiences working with various coaches, shamans, priests, and Rabbis that I have worked with. They all impacted me, so I merged everything into my unique perspective, which became The Growing Forward Experience. It's a journey, a way to help others heal, and ultimately a guide. More than that, it includes my story at a very personal, compassionate, and subjective level from where I am today versus when living and growing through the experience.

My gift is authentic in it explains my way of life. These are the tools I use actively to stay connected and stay true to myself as much as possible. Self-forgiveness letters help me release emotions, and journaling helps me understand the dynamics and roles of the situation objectively. It's all about taking the time to understand ourselves. The more we can understand ourselves, the more we can understand others. When we understand others more, we can show up for them and understand them more comprehensively.

What does it mean to be spiritual?

Is it about following a certain religion, doctrine, or guru? Is it about performing rituals, meditating, or praying? Is it about having supernatural experiences, visions, or miracles?

Or is it something more simple, more natural, more personal?

I started graduate school on a quest to find the answers to these very questions. I graduated with an M. Div. (Master of Divinity in Marriage and Family Therapy) with more questions than answers. As I grappled with the questions of spirituality, I also wrestled with the work of healing from a childhood filled with trauma.

Having grown up in a chaotic family where emotional, mental, physical, and sexual abuse was a regular part of life, my teen and young adult years were filled with questions of identity and feelings of deep shame. A sense of not enough-ness filled my mind and thoughts in ways that made it almost impossible to grasp the idea that Life could be good, and that Love could also be for me.

Spirituality and trauma are inextricably linked to questions of meaning, purpose, intrinsic value, personal mission....

    ...my place in the world.

Did everything I have been through mean anything...?

What I discovered is trauma can be healed, redeemed, and bring Light to others.

I have been a therapist (specializing in trauma and
