About this ebook

We have an Almighty God, Creator, and compassionate Father who is immutable, which means He is unchanging. He is the One that we can trust always. Unfortunately, many go through life believing God is at a distance and unreachable until this body dies and we see Him in the life to come. We have so many questions and misunderstandings. No wonder there is so much confusion!

His Touch of Grace is not far from us at all. God is not waiting to meet you on the other side. He created you, and knows you by name, because He longs for fellowship with you now, at this time and in your life with you. It's true! Once we step into that relationship, He reveals His fellowship with us, one step at a time. Come, see what I mean, as you open up this book, and discover lessons that can change your life because of His love for you. Within these pages, we will:

discover the ways to know the peace that we receive when we trust in Jesus as the peace giver.

learn that during trials and persecution, God holds all things together in His sovereignty, by His love, His might and power.

understand what it means to be cleansed, refreshed and filled by His living water.

by faith, give up our control of situations, and believe that God will carry them for you.

remember The Lion is always with us. We need not fear. We can get through to the other side of the construction zone and mess, as He makes the way.

    Preface

While this may be the final book of three in the His Touch of Grace series, we know that this isn't the last of the lessons that our personal Father in Heaven and on earth has for you and I.

Be still and spend time in daily devotions with quiet time before His throne. Be still and read His Word daily and ask Him to show you the way through life's joys and through life's trials. I'm thankful for you, and have prayed for you for years, though I may not know your name. Remember, He will meet you always in His truths as you sacrifice your time and ways for more of Him.

The following poem was written to convey the gift of grace we can receive, and the relationship we can have with God, our Heavenly Father, who has intimately touched my life. God has spoken to me through His Word. He has given me a gift. I believe this gift, His Touch of Grace, is to be shared with you through these drawings, these poems, and my story.

    His Touch of Grace

His Touch of Grace to help you feel

Christ's love for us, His light to heal

Our sorrows, pains, our broken hearts

Just turn to Him, evil departs.

His Touch of Grace, so soft and warm,

He longs for us through darkest storm.

He left this world for a better place

That we may know His Touch of Grace.

The water's there to quench your thirst,

And as we ask, Christ will disperse

    His peace, His love, His promise too;

His Touch of Grace, so bold, so true

So live His Word and hear His voice.

An empty tomb, Christ's only choice.

Let's follow Him and keep His pace,

We'll then know His Touch of Grace.

    His Touch for me, His Touch for you;

And when I ask, I know it's true:

    He died for us, saved us from sin;

His Touch of Grace is there to cleanse.

    Introduction

    (How-To Guide)

His Touch of Grace© lessons are to be used as a personal Bible Study guide so that you may individually, or in a group setting, spend time with God and grow in His Word. Each lesson included in book 3 (Peace, Sovereignty, Living Water, Faith, and The Lion) are summarized through the daily devotionals, drawings and poems. Each lesson includes the following:

Bible Study Questions—located at the end of each lesson. Before you begin each day, you may spend personal time with the Lord first by praying for His wisdom and understanding, and then responding through a few study questions allowing the Holy Spirit to prepare your heart and mind for the lesson of the day.

Daily Devotions—along with the study questions, are broken down into small portions to receive each day. As you commit each day to prayer, scripture and devotional time, you can face all that is before you, walking with God, rather than in the hustle and bustle of life on your own.

DrawingsSpirit Inspired as scripture, circumstances, and understanding are received. Each drawing has come together by submitting my hands and time to God (without any knowledge of the drawing in advance); simply picking up a pencil and paper that allowed the drawings to come to pass.

Poems—an important part of these lessons, are included. The poems were each written and inspired, as were the drawings, by the nudge of the Spirit. They came to completion as I believed by faith that God Himself would author the final product.

Lesson Summaries—found at the end of each lesson. These are my personal testimonies of how the lesson came together. It explains how we can live life by applying the Word of God in each situation that He takes us through.

Bible Reference Listsreview scripture verses used for each lesson.

Glossary—list of words that were brought to my attention as the lessons came together. Reading and receiving understanding takes thought, and these are the words that are included in these particular lessons where God required my deeper thinking. The study questions will ask you to write some of the meanings of the words. In cases where the review includes deeper thought from Hebrew (Old Testament) or Greek (New Testament) meaning, those definitions are also included (from Strong's Exhaustive Concordance).

Let's pray together now, as you begin to receive His Touch of Grace.

Heavenly Father, Your will is that we know You more. As I begin this walk with You through His Touch of Grace lessons, I know that it's only You who can teach me Your ways. Please give me understanding, give me wisdom, and give me discernment so that I may live a life pleasing to You.

When I have questions or when doubts arise, Lord, please reveal more of You to me in Your character, Your peace and contentment. I don't need to have all the answers now, but I want to draw nearer to You.

I love You Lord, and I thank You for providing tools for me to see You, to hear You, and to receive more of You in every breath I take. May You bless all those who You call to walk closer to You this day.

In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.

    Peace Lesson #11

    Lesson #11

    Day 1

    Peace

Definition: calm repose, freedom from disturbance, war or hostilities.

Greek Shalowm, completeness, soundness, welfare, quiet, tranquility, contentment

Peace, it can be a different place for each one of us. I think we would agree that we want to control our lives enough to bring peace into our lives at any given moment. We think that peace comes when we have control over situations around us.

Do you know peace in your life today?

    How will you find peace?

Let's read about a time when Moses, who was given favor and separated from slavery of his brothers, took control over a not-so-peaceful situation. Seek and find the answers to these questions:

How did Moses step forward to control a situation?

What situation and what emotion had him searching for peace?

    Where do he go?

Now it came to pass in those days, when Moses was grown, that he went out to his brethren and looked at their burdens. And he saw an Egyptian beating a Hebrew, one of his brethren. So he looked this way and that way, and when he saw no one, he killed the Egyptian and hid him in the sand.

And when he went out the second day, behold, two Hebrew men were fighting, and he said to the one who did the wrong, Why are you striking your companion? Then he said, Who made you a prince and a judge over us? Do you intend to kill me as you killed the Egyptian? So Moses feared and said, Surely this thing is known!

When Pharaoh heard of this matter, he sought to kill Moses. But Moses fled from the face of Pharaoh and dwelt in the land of Midian; and he sat down by a well. (Exodus 2:11–15)

    Day 2

In But Not Of The World

As we long for peace, in our hearts, our homes, our neighborhoods and our world order, it's because God has given us the desire for a peace that can't be found in the things here on earth.

Have you ever had a personal counseling session with God, regarding His creation or something very intimate in your life? He draws you to Himself in so many ways, because He longs for you. He loves you! He is where we find our peace, as we respond to His call.

World Definition—the world, the earth and all the people and things on it; a part of the world and the people and things that exist there; human society

Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

For all that is in the world—the lust of
