Stitch by Stitch was birthed straight from God's heart to my heart. I pray each devotional will lead you to a closer walk with Christ and that you feel His healing power mending you through every broken piece of your heart. The last nugget of truth is that God's only Son, Jesus Christ, is the only way to our Heavenly Father!

Jesus, our living hope, will lead you on the right path, on this journey called life. No matter the storm, no matter the pain, and no matter the brokenness, God's light will shine through all the darkness and heal you stitch by stitch.

"The light keeps shining in the dark, and darkness has never put it out" (John 1:5 CEV).

The only way to the Father is through Jesus, His Son.

Introduction

When God spoke into my heart that He wanted me to write again, meaning another book, I literally dropped what I was doing. I was actually peeling potatoes for lunch. I dropped them like they were hot potatoes. The following is the conversation God and I had. No one was in my home except God and me.

God said, I want you to write again!

Looking up, I replied, But, God, I write every day and post on social media. Are you sure?

God said, "Yes, I'm sure! This will be the title, Stitch by Stitch: God Heals from His Endless Treasure of Nuggets!"

That treasure of nuggets is His Holy Word! The best book ever written!

I immediately headed to my little office and began writing down everything He was revealing in my spirit. All the years that He would give me poems no matter where I was, I'd write them on whatever was available to jot them down on. I was in the dentist office one day years ago, and all I had was an address book and that's where it was written, until I could get it typed.

At that point, January 5, 2021, there was no turning back. Thus, that was the birthing of Stitch by Stitch. When I finished my poetry book, Poems from the Heart, I never dreamed God would have me write another book. God always gives us the desires of our heart, and He gave me the talent to write. I just pick up the pen and He writes through me. He always has another plan for us, another gift, another talent, and sometimes just an encouraging word to share with others. It's all about sharing the heart of Jesus with all we meet.

So as you read Stitch by Stitch, it is my prayer that you will begin to feel the healing process that only God can give us. Whatever breaks our heart, God already knows what needs to be done to stitch us back! No matter the pain, no matter the scars, no matter the hurts, no matter the brokenness, and no matter if you didn't get the restoration (the way you wanted it to happen), God always has a better plan! He will always mend and heal our heart back together.

No matter how many seasons of our life that we feel torn, tattered, or ripped apart, God's healing hands will mend us back! It's in the tearing where the mending begins…one stitch at a time! God's plan for us is always the best plan of all! Let Him begin your healing
