1. Why a diet plan?

Before moving on to creating a nutrition plan, we should first answer why it is worth starting to follow it in the first place.

Especially when the diet plan gained a bit of a reputation in recent years, as almost
every so-called nutritionist started offering their own, usually paid, template diet plan.
The problem with a template meal plan

There's nothing worse than someone's bombarded weight loss diet plan with foods you don't like and several meals that don't fit your schedule.

The internet is full of paid and free diet plans, and almost none of them will be successful for you, let alone enjoy.

What's more, a template diet plan doesn't teach you anything. You stick to it but don't even know why it works, so you're afraid to change something.
That's why this guide will teach you not only how to create your nutrition plan but also how to make changes if one of your needs changes.

A self-made nutrition plan will allow you to focus on the primary purpose of the latter - to use it as an easy way to count calories.

Like anyone, the diet plan has advantages and disadvantages, so I would like to single out two main ones.

✅ Simplicity: No need to keep thinking about what you need to eat and how to make it.
✅ Calories. No need to take care of calorie counting every time you eat.

❌ Diversity. The same dishes are often eaten, so nutrition may need more variety.
❌ Time. Most of the food has to be produced at home, which requires extra time and effort.
Studies show people don’t like to follow complex dietary rules and count calories. As a result, the simplicity of nutrition and the pre-calorie count (the nutrition plan provides k) can bring a more successful outcome.
Principles of a successful nutrition plan
Usually, template meal plans could be better. What should a successful diet plan look like for weight loss that would help you achieve the desired result and not be a pain to follow?
It must meet each of the following principles:
✅ Consider individual taste (which foods a person likes and dislikes).
✅ Provide enough energy for daily physical and mental activities (no starvation, no excessive restriction of calories or one or more food substances).
✅ To help collect the necessary nutrients (proteins, fats, carbohydrates, fibers, vitamins and minerals, etc.).
